Holy crap, this is good. The stripped back part two really helps you realize the backing was recorded at a sound check. You can’t tell that from the studio version. It also punches you in the face with his raw and bare bones it is. I love hearing Adam’s bass loud and clear. I love it.

Its awesome! Adam's bass definitely sounds like it was from the Zoo Tv era soundchecks even though according to Wikipedia, the second part of the song was part of a soundcheck from the 1989 Lovetown Tour.

Very doubtful this is a version they were actually considering releasing. It is really rough around the edges mix-wise, but still very cool to hear. This is just my *guess* (yes, please read --- guess), but I imagine it's probably an early mix they dug up when deciding how they'd perform it on the 360 tour. How you have it, I have no clue. lol

Listening more closely with headphones, the first section of the song definitely sounds more polished. This track was famously jammed out during a soundcheck on the Zoo TV tour, and the second half sounds far less finessed and dry, almost like a soundboard recording. Maybe some kind of meeting in the middle? I dunno, just spitballing here, but you never know. Thanks for the upload :)
