This whole album literally saved my life. I’d listen to it every time I had chemo, starting in July 2001. In November of that year, I was in the isolation ward, terribly sick, with a white blood cell count of about 200. I listened to this over and over that day, this was just a moment that would be over at some point. That February I was done, cancer free ever since, if not healthy. Sorry to hear your story, my mom also had this album basically on repeat around 2001 ish. I remember even being very young at the time, her life was practically falling apart and I'm surprised she held on. For the past twenty years she's struggled with severe mental health and its only recently that she's been sorting herself out. She was diagnosed with cancer this year, luckily it was stage one and she is finishing up chemo that she almost didn't even need. I feel blessed. I have a feeling my story could've been much similar to yours though, this album was constantly on back then and she was in obvious self destruct mode, so much so that I'm not even sure if she should've had custody of me. Anyways prayers to you and your mom's spirit, I am sure she is with you when you listen to this.
