Lyrics:
I have climbed the highest mountains
I have run through the fields
Only to be with you
Only to be with you.
I have run, I have crawled
I have scaled these city walls
These city walls
Only to be with you.
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for.
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for.
I have kissed honey lips
Felt the healing in her finger tips
It burned like fire
(I was) burning inside her.
I have spoke with the tongue of angels
I have held the hand of a devil
It was warm in the night
I was cold as a stone.
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for.
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for.
I believe in the Kingdom Come
Then all the colours will bleed into one
Bleed into one.
But yes, I'm still running.
You broke the bonds
And you loosed the chains
Carried the cross of my shame
Oh my shame, you know I believe it.
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for.
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for.
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for.
But I still haven't found
What I'm looking for.

I just lost my son a few weeks ago... he was 19. He came to us from a troubled background, we did our best, and then some, to help him forget those times and find happiness, and for a while... he did. But, he always had these personal demons he was fighting and unfortunately... they won in the end. This song always reminded me of him and his search for happiness. He knew the world was his... he had so much talent in everything he did, but there was always some longing in him... something always gnawing at the back of his mind that wouldn't let him be satisfied. He never found what he was looking for in this life... I pray he finds it in the next. Daddio loves and misses you mi hito.

@@TheFire-fq8fx This is what it says from Wiki: _"I've always liked gospel music and I encouraged Bono to take it to that place ... It was a very non-U2 thing to do at the time, to go up the street of gospel. I think it opened a door for them, to experiment with that territory ... [Bono]'s singing at the top of his range and there is something very compelling about somebody pushing themselves. It's like hearing Aretha Franklin almost. It jumps on you and you can't help but feel the feeling."_

I was not expecting to get emotional while watching Sing 2, but when the audience started to sing along with Ash and then the Calloway started to play his guitar it almost got me in tears. Everything about that moment in the movie was absolutely perfect, especially this song and the fact that it was voiced by Bono himself. They truly did justice to this timeless song!

My uncle put me on to U2 when I was around 7 or 8 years old. I still remember the first time I heard it play in my mom's living room. 30 years later I take my son to see Sing 2 and I got goose bumps and chills as I see his face widen and try to hum along as the song plays out. Yes sing 2 brought me here but the love was always there.

Memories! A friend and I visited Las Vegas, by chance, when this took place. This was before the internet existed, so we didn’t know that U2 was in town. They played at the Thomas & Mack Center. Anyway, we bought tickets on the night of the show. I know, go figure! I think it was the only concert during the Joshua Tree Tour that didn’t sell out. After the concert, unbeknownst to us, the band went downtown and make this music video. We had spent the prior evening in downtown, so after the show we went to the strip. We missed it!!!!! The cool part of the trip was going home to LA and having concert t-shirts of the tour that hadn’t been to Los Angeles yet. We found out a few months later about the music video, when it aired. That’s when we cried.

My dad is one of the biggest U2 fans I’ve ever encountered, he’s seen them in concert 27 times (one time I went with him when I was very little) and every time he saw them he would get a tally Mark tattoo under a tattoo of the Zooropa baby. Over the weekend I finally got a new record player after wanting one for over three years. I went searching in the garage because that’s where my dad keeps his old U2 collectibles, and I found a special vinyl printing of all of the singles that came off of the Joshua tree. My mom told me that my dad used to play this song over my mom’s belly when my mom was still pregnant with me😂 thanks dad for always looking out for me, I love you❤️

This had to be the most played song in Baumholder, Germany from 88-90. This song, singular song reminds me of going out to the bars Fri / Sat nights. Spend the aforementioned years living in the barracks at the intersection of Avenue H and D. The parking lot @ the back of the building was simply a flat gravel open area. The parking spots @ the front of the building did not exist. Can remember the spot where I told my platoon sgt .... just what I thought of him. Damn great memories!

Yesterday, my son surprised me by playing a U2 song on the piano without any notes or instruction. He picked up the melody by ear and sang along as he matched the keys, creating a beautiful rendition of the song that filled the room with a sense of awe and wonder. The power of U2's music was on full display as my son effortlessly channeled the band's passion and energy, captivating all who listened. It was a testament to the band's skill as songwriters and musicians, as well as to the enduring quality of their music. My son's spontaneous performance was a reminder of the profound impact that U2's music can have on people of all ages and backgrounds, and a testament to the enduring legacy of one of the greatest rock bands of all time.
