"UAD driver not installed error"
Open a new "Terminal" and copy and paste this code:
sudo kmutil load -p /Library/Extensions/UAD2System.kext
Press - Shift/Command/G
~/Library/Preferences/
UAD Archives (Download version 9.13.1)
help.uaudio.co...

For those still struggling to get it to work, I got figured it out. Uninstall everything that has to do with UAD, then you have to disable your SIP settings in recovery mode then restart your computer then open UAD installer and install UAD then restart, after your computer comes back on, UAD should be working. Once it’s working, turn your SIP settings back on in recovery mode and restart!

How to manually allow Console keystroke passthrough Follow the steps below to manually enable Apollo/Arrow Console keystroke passthrough. These steps may be necessary if “Open System Preferences” isn’t clicked in the Accessibility Access (Events) dialog as described above. Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy (from Apple Menu at top left corner of display). Click the lock icon at lower left of the Privacy pane and authenticate to allow changes. In the right column of the Privacy pane, click the “+” button and navigate to: /Library/Application Support/Universal Audio/Apollo/ Click the “UA Mixer Engine” application so it is selected, then click Open. In the right column of the Privacy pane, tick the “UA Mixer Engine” checkbox.

Ayeee this tha one! I ended up needing to get a new thunderbolt cable. They gave me a used one by accident and my apollo wouldn't connect until i got the new cable and followed these steps. Thanks Bruh!

Man 35,000 people are a whole lot of people having problems with UAD, smh I love there Plugins and since there so good I can't leave them but cmon UAD get it together. Most of us engineers are somewhat tech savvy and if 35,000 people are having a disrespectful amount of problems then that means you guys got to figure out a better way for the consumers. all the best to you fellow musicians

My plugins are not showing up in console, I can use them in logic and luna but when you buy a new plugin and want to unhide it in console-settings-plugins there is not one uad plugin visible. No one has an answer for this. Mind you they all work but I can add pre amps or any plugin on console because I cannot see them Hope you can help

thanks for the help, kinda sad how pathetic UA is with OS compatibility. I got a Volt and it comes with " $400" in plug in's I will probably never get to see or use. Whatever, the interface itself is amazing sounding, just hoping i never need a digital UA mixer for it as " Driver did not install correctly" will probably haunt my nightmares

Need your help I just bought one and lost the meter once I installed and did not know I had to allow lower permissions on my 2016 M2 MacBook Pro once I deleted everything then I couldn’t download the softwar installer from the software manager again cause it said installed and of course couldn’t get the meter back Now for the next part once I got Luna downloaded and UA connect because I did not have a meter it did nothing it still would not register the serial number for a brand new device wow and so now what do I do

Having similar issues w mac 2015 2k retina 27" Monterrey w thunderbolt 2. A number of people having the issue of the interface not connecting when you turn off n on your apollo etc. Going on since 2021 at least w no fix.

I ran across this exact thing tords the end but ended up restarting the computer when that message appeared. . I still need to put the code in the terminal to get it to work again on update 9.14 after restarting. Should I uninstall and reinstall again and not let it restart when prompted? But after that message to restart?

everything worked just 6 months ago though, and i havent dropped or damaged any of the equipment. it is a new macbook so that might have to do with it. the good news is that the mac IS picking up the apollo, but just no input sound. I've tried: Restarting everything Unplugging and replugging everything updating computer software downloading uad console and meter + control panel softwares setting the audio input to Apollo on both logic pro and the macbook itself choosing an input on logicpro Sonoma 14.3.1 (23D60) please help!!!!

Perhaps, you might want to check your cables. That happened to me and I had to replace my cables and my adapters.

My working x4 suddenly showed up with incorrect driver message. Tried few things, no luck. But this command line worked as temporary solution. But after I updated to the latest Sur OS and the latest Sur compatible driver for UAD it and restarted the Mac it worked ma sha Allah!

@@GraysonErhard please check your OS version and interface version. For me, interface is the latest version with sur latest updates. Also before installing I uninstalled existing version and cleaned the folders as per the guideline I found in google.

Is this just for Apollo_ I am in a corner a lone on my uad satelite for the past 3 weeks now can not get my mac to see the uad satellite. I went and got a fire wire to thunderbolt 3 /USB C to Thunderbolt 2 adapter then to the mac mini No Luck. Hello please your help, I already uninstall like 10 times 1) I uninstall and also erase the Library of UA and carpet of Universal 2) I install the driver and then when finish request me for restart. But in this step I don't restart in that moment I wait the 30 minutes requested, and then restart. Also in this step when I was waiting the 30 minutes I was looking some videos in KZbin and I see that driver works. Without enter Security and Privacity and make you step explain in video. 3) When finally restart I want to try to select the driver for in and out sound but not appear more and also in the Appear driver not install correctly. So i put your terminal step and works. But please I would like to know the way that works just with the install please.
