Hey! Same here. Okay, so on my Windows 11 machine: I uninstalled all the plugins, then went to %Appdata%, found the Universal Audio folder and trashed it. Grabbed the latest Thunderbolt driver and BIOS update, restarted, installed the UAD plugins, restarted again, and boom - it worked. 🙏🏼👍🏼

I did exactly what he said in the video and I reset it and I made sure every thing was plugged in right, but I’m not sure exactly which one actually got it to finally work. First, make sure you have the stuff plugged in right. I know it sounds silly, but I made that mistake at first. Make sure the lighting bolt is facing up, or if you have an iMac, it’s facing to the left. What all have you done so far? Have you reset it?

Wow this just happened to me... Because of this video, I ended up Uninstalling, and Reinstalling directly from the UAD website. Now everything works again! I wonder if this will happened because I upgraded from Big Sur to Monterey? Oh well, thanks for the video!

I uninstalled and reinstalled my UAD but in privacy it doesn’t show what you spoke about allowing to accept or trust the download. I checked if with in the recommended 30 mins and nothing indicates that

@@nickderdak4527 Chiming in here...only thing that worked for me was to finally downgrade back to High Sierra, and then move one OS up to Mojave. Took two days, but it was worth it.

Great video, hope this worked for you guys....as for me, my issue was a simple mistake. Long story short, make sure you have the correct cable that is not included (UAD-2 Satellite). Mini Display and Thunderbolt 2 look exactly the same. I was using a mini display cable, got a thunderbolt 2 and issue fixed. I know a lot of you would know what cable is needed, but there are people like me that had no clue. Hope I could help as well. Make sure it is a Thunderbolt 2 cable and NOT a Mini Display. 👍🏽

Unfortunately this did NOT work for me. Still showing 'No Devices Found'. After literally MONTHS of dealing with UAD tech support via ticket and phone, sending unit back, finding it was stained by someone at UAD - not during UPS transit, getting unit back - UAD support still claims it's a faulty Thunderbolt Cable, but I've tried several and still no luck. I've even tried connecting the Apolloa to my Macbook but get same result. Seems there's something deeper going on here noone can explain.

I just bought the UAD arrow for a week, first time I plug it to my macbook pro it work normally, I can register the hardware and test plugins on the UAD console . About 10 minutes the UAD arrow LEDs has a shutdown, I don't know why? I disconnected an arrow and reconnect it again, the LEDs did not show up and in the UAD meter doesn't found device. I had tried to reinstall uad software but it still didn't work.

UAD is great WHEN IT WORKS. It's been nothing but problems with my Twin X from day one. I can't believe I spent thousands of dollars on this device and now I'm using the M-Track my friend gave me for free in 2016.

I'll add that UAD support is virtually non existant. Can't speak with a human over the phone, and it took nearly the entire length of my warranty to have my ticket resolved. Now it's not working again. My little M-Track has never given me a single problem in the nearly 10 years I've had it, it works perfectly every time. I finally had the funds to upgrade to UAD and it's been an absolute nightmare.

Lucky (hopefully) to find this video as I have tried everything UAD suggested and many times the UAD device is not found. My problem started after a firmware update done around Oct 2019 and since then the UAD Apollo Twin has not always been detected. I will try this and reply back with my updates.

Hello mister. Looking for a solution to the problems with the Apollo Twin X Duo, I came across your videos which gave me a glimmer of hope... Can you give me some advice. I'm using Universal Audio on Windows *Laptop Predator Helios 500, Intel i7 8750, 32 GB ram, ssd 3500 mb/s, GTX 1070, Thunderbolt 3 x 2*, the drivers were fine until I restarted the laptop and everything went bad... Any advice please. Even when I get to the option to register my product, it's like the cable isn't inserted...? BTW my Cable is TB4 and TB3 supported

On my Apollo Twin solution was to disconnect all cabels turn off pc and reset the card by holding a second from left and second from right button and at the same time click and hold a jog in the middle. While you hold those three things turn on the card and continue holding for 10 sec. Turn of the card reconnect your thunderbolt cable to the Mac and turn on the computer and then turn on the Apollo again. Voila.

For all those reporting the 91 error code.it is not hardware failure. Unplug the second UAD device. Your hardware starts working, right yup. It's not cables or the second device, right! It's not drivers right, check! It maybe multiple accounts. If your using two devices and have them registered to more than one account. It's probably, that UAD has failed to ask you in each account to cross reference your email addresses so the software will combine accounts and plugins during a session. That's my bet, but who am I so ask UAD

Why multiple accounts. Well certain customers may not want to pay for all that wonderful plugin in goodness, so may have B rooms, some may be using Octos and such as portable on other. Computers. Who knows.

I had this happen to my PC I had to reinstall windows 7 professional, and when I loaded the software for My UAD Apollo Quad and tried to use it, I got an error "no device found" after working with this for a few weeks and no one had an idea of how to fix. I found that my new install of windows needed to be updated with windows updates, First what was stopping the UAD interface from working was Windows did not like the Driver signature authentication for the UAD software Until I allowed windows updates to complete. Until that point, I had installed the software and drivers anyway by using the F8 key hit repeatedly at bootup until you get a screen that looks like DOS and at the top, it says "fix this computer", Scroll down to the bottom of the list there is a line that says bypass driver signature authentication. click on that and hit enter. The computer will boot but next time it will look for the driver signature as always. But this allows you to install the software with the bad driver. But when you use the program that uses that driver you have to hit F8 each time to bypass the driver signature authentication. But with my new install after I let all windows updates complete the software would install the drivers were good all along but the windows install needed to be completed. But I found also that I had to ad the software for my interface had to be added to the firewall ok list of programs to let through, then the interface began to connect through firewire. But in short, my problem all along was I was not patient and did not let windows do all the updates, many parts of software need the extras that come in windows updates to run. I hope there is something here that will help someone this problem really sucks! *** More things you might run into with a PC and Appollo Quad and windows. I bought my gear at Sweetwater Music they have a tech department that is very good they were a great help when I found at the end I had everything running but no sound? Well, that was ok till I reinstalled ProTools which defaults to 48Hz and 24bit so when I loaded a Protools file that was 44.1 16 bit Protools could not connect to the Appollo quad. you can bypass this by creating a blank file at 48Hz 24bit and Import the file information and everything which is the first option when you import this brings in everything so your 44.1 gets forced to become 48 Hz 24 bit. then you can edit your old files. And your Appollo Quad will then start activating your firewire interface.
