Vehicles are partially submerged in flooded streets after heavy rain continues to cause disruptions in the Emirate city of Sharjah. The storms hit the UAE, and Bahrain overnight Monday and Tuesday after lashing Oman.

Amazing what such little rain is doing to the lower regions of an area not built for receiving rain. The overall rainfall was by far not as high as the water ended up to be. But even in my country, with major natural flooding twice a year, there are areas next to a big river where people build houses with the lower floor not for living, because of knowing the area gets flooded, and yet they have to get evacuated twice a year because the water rises 3 meters above groundlevel, the electricity is off and the flood is making their furniture swim on the second floor meant to be safe. It happens twice a year almost like clockwork at the same time, and yet they choose to live there. Amazing! Nature is just following predictable laws of physics, like any unthinking object. Humans need to think more and trust less.

The United Arab Emirates capital of Dubai remains flooded after a deluge of rain fell earlier in the week. Several unconfirmed reports suggest cloud seeding could have played a role in the flooding. Cloud seeding is when we infuse clouds with a substance like silver iodide, by spraying particles from a drone or airplane, or projecting them from a cannon. “(Water will) start condensing or freezing on to that silver iodide particle and then basically build ice up,” explains Rachel Chang, Canada Research Chair in Atmospheric Science. The ice crystals grow rapidly until they’re large enough to fall as snow, or if the temperature is warm enough, they’ll turn to rain. Cloud seeding became popular in the United States in the 1960s and now, dozens of countries, including Canada, use the method to sometimes fight forest fires or drought, create snow or to limit the size of potentially damaging hail.” Global's Nathaniel Dove explains the process and whether experts believe it could have played a role in Dubai’s record rainfall.

No doubt this is a clear singn of climate change. In Addis Ababa we have good drainage system sides the roads it impossible to happen like this level but only few ares very little amount of flood we have seen once a year but not like this levels. Since today UAE and oman must be focus on drainage system constraction like Addis Ababa to reduce the impact of flood future time wating proactively need preparation.

That is true, however, this city is never expected to have this big of a rainfall. Usually when it rains the plants and ground take in the water as they're dried out from the heat. But this was extreme.

@@pat8497 Actually, there are drainages around the city but it wasn't enough to handle the amount of flooding that happened a few days ago. The flood was immense

The purpose of Allah sending down this disaster is so that humans regret, sin, repent and evaluate themselves, the lessons that can be taken from this disaster are so that humans realize that warnings, tests Tujuan Allah memberikan musibah adalah agar manusia menyesali,dosa bertaubat, mengevaluasi diri.pelajaran yang bisa di ambil dari musibah ini agar manusia menyadari bahwa peringatan, ujian karena dosa yang melampaui batas

Grüße! Was ich in diesen Tagen gelernt habe, ist, dass es auf natürliche Weise zusammen mit der Wolkenbildung verursacht wurde. Das sollte eine Lektion sein.
