I will definitely try this restaurant. Gordon was lucky that it was just a you tuber, since you can clearly see a little green bug walking along the green salad. At 11.26 you can see it on the green leave, above the beans on the right site. At 11.44 it walks along the dark green leave. The bug is light green colored You can not see it when you pause, but if you focus on that area you will be aware of something crawling along the leave 🥬😄

I’ve eaten at his flagship restaurant since his first opening when he was the chef and perhaps 20+ more times since. It is one of the very best restaurants in the world! Stand in Budapest is right up there too. Next time have take 4 and have their Sommelier, James Shaw, pair wine with each course. It elevates the meal to a stratospheric level. Finally, I’m sorry you missed the best restaurant manager in the entire world, Jean-Claude Breton, who brings the meal to another level when he accompanies and explains each course! Enrico Baronetto replaced Jean-Claude as he moved to being Brand Ambassador. 👏👏👏

I would have expected there to be more than "one" lobster ravioli but overall a very impressive meal! Thanks for taking us along.

I actually look forward to vegetable dishes in restaurants the most, because vegetables are so good and underrated if done well. But choosing Ratatouille over Gordon Ramsay's famous signature Lobster Ravioli would have been so incredibly unlikely for me, but UA Eats is so convincing that I might share half a ravioli and half a ratatouille with my lunch mate if I ever get the chance to be there. The thing about these sorts of "high end" restaurants - you go for the experience more than the food itself really. While normally, the food is incredibly good in places like this, it's all about the experience of being there, being told everything in the dish, how it's made sometimes, specific cutlery or dishes for each course, etc. And while depending on the menu, you can get 8, 10, 12, even more courses and get full pretty easily even with the small portions most of the time. For the "average joe" spending $350 on a tasting menu such as this, with very small portions and a very narrow choice of food each course has, it's usually seen as just for "rich people" or people who want to show off (flex I guess the kids say these days lol). All that being said, I've had the pleasure of eating at restaurants such as this before and I hate the saying "don't knock it till you try it" but in this regard - I totally agree. I've had culinary training (at the Culinary Institute of America) and know what goes into a fine dining experience and it is NOT easy work and it's certainly not for the faint of heart. These chefs and cooks and servers and everyone work their asses off to make the "experience" something memorable. And that's why I always recommend people, if they can, do something like this at least once in their life.

You might not like Ramsay, or there might be chefs you think are better, but how can you possibly say he's not that good of a chef? You'd be forgiven thinking he's just a TV personality at first but if you just watch him actually cook for a few mins you can tell he's obviously a good chef. And holding 3 michelin stars for 21+ years at his flagship restaurant, and 17 or more throughout his 33+ restaurants and whole chef career? Yeah, he obviously sucks! Mike Tyson was crap too! All those wins and belts he won? What a con-artist! Those michelin-starred restaurants are seperate from what you see on TV. He gets those michelin stars because he's an excellent chef. There's literally no other way to get them. The restaurants are constantly judged, mystery-shopped and evaluated in order to hold a michelin star. If it's not up to standard, you lose the star(s). But you probably know this. You're just jealous and bitter or a troll. I'm sure i don't need to tell you that you can't get a michelin star if you're not a great chef. Neither you nor I could get even 1 michelin star.

@@Nippymonkey I didn't say he was a bad chef. I said he was "not the good of a". There is a difference. He is a mediocre chef. I did like his series however, Kitchen Nightmares.

OMG really??? The world has moved on Professor Higgins. It is a much more accepting and equitable place than you might want, but if a tee-shirt (correct snobby spelling) is not accepted by the restaurant (and they choose, not you) then they would have asked for an undergarment change

1. Never eat a salad with a spoon. 2. The Ratatouille had artichoke hearts in it. That's the first thing I'd taste. 3. Zucchini is not a root. 4. With 2 slices of steak, take smaller bites. This is not Denny's.

Typical UA showing no respect, dignity, or knowledge of the places he visits and totally disregards other diners. If you’re not getting the business’ and diners consent to film you shouldn’t do it.

You answered your own question/comment. A fine dining restaurant is not about "filling up" or filling your gullet. It's about taste and exciting your senses. Don't go here if you are famished for sure. (I've walked away from a fine dining restaurant still hungry too.)
