I love that you take the time to explore the unheralded corners of Georgia, in addition to the more conventional bits. This area (the last two parts of the series) reminds me a bit of Scotland, with the treeless hills, lakes, boulders, and passing cows. You two make amazing content, and I'm looking forward to seeing your Armenian adventures. Tapadh leibh!

Thanks, Michelle! It's been a great experience to explore many different parts of Georgia on foot and by 4x4, and pretty amazing to see just how varied the landscape can be. We've definitely found ourselves likening it to Scotland on numerous occasions (usually when the weather is a bit iffy or the trees are missing, as you say!). Glad to have you following along on our journeys and thanks for watching and appreciating our work! Looking forward to sharing more from the Caucasus soon : ) Cheers! Kim

This was an awesome journey. I honestly don't know how you guys don't have a million subscribers but I feel pretty lucky to have discovered such a hidden gem in the youtube jungle. Thank you so much for making such amazing videos. Where to next? Come and see us in Pakistan! The northern areas are incredible.

Thanks so much, Danielle. It means a lot to us to read such kind words of support, and we're pretty lucky that you've found us in this KZbin jungle! Fingers crossed we can grow the channel more this year. For now we're still in Georgia, and have plenty more Georgia videos to come. But northern Pakistan does look spectacular, we'd love to visit some time. Where do you live?

Hiya we love your videos and have been watching all weekend. Just came back from 5 weeks away in Asia so longing for the road again. Quick (bizarre) question - what is Del's watch? We can see it is a Garmin but despite an extensive (5 second) search, I can't find it. Tell me what kind of Garmin it is!!! TELL ME!! And if you can be arsed, why that one? What does it DO?!! Cheers!! Looking forward to more videos soon! 👍 and 🔔 and ❤

Hey Emma, that’s great! Thanks very much! Where were you in Asia? 5 weeks sounds like a decent trip. Haha, my Garmin is the Forerunner 920XT. I got it back in 2016 when I was doing triathlons. It’s good for recording all those activities plus hiking too. Not surprised you couldn’t find it, it was an older model even then and the new range of forerunners look quite different now. Still mostly does the job though 😃

@@GoingTheWholeHogg Oh thank you for the info! Good to know. We were in Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia - got a bit of hiking in although the heat and humidity were tiring so it was mostly just a break. Came across your channel while looking for some more local hikes and even though I'm from Arran originally, I've never done the West Highland Way so thinking about that as an Easter jaunt after watching your great film. We both have found the Georgia videos really inspiring too - I had absolutely no idea it was so beautiful!

Hello! Interesting and professional design of the trip. I myself am the owner of such a car and also travel around Russia on it. Thank you for the video. Can I find out what kind of garmin device is on the driver's hand?

More then a year later now...Do you still have this UAZ and how is it holding up.? ( What are your thoughts about reliability?) One of the options i want to buy is a UAZ Hunter so since its the same manufacturer i am curious to your response.
@GoingTheWholeHogg
@GoingTheWholeHogg 2 жыл бұрын
Hey, first up, it’s not ours. We rented it from an excellent company in Tbilisi called Overlando. We had it for two weeks and drove it all over, and in many different off-road situations. We have to say it handled everything extremely well. In terms of reliability, we do know of many instances where these vehicles have broken down with parts totally done in and needing replaced. Saying that it’s all simple and mechanical so providing parts are available we believe they are easy to fix. It depends on what countries you plan on using it in I guess. Can’t speak about the Hunter from personal experience but we’ve seen plenty of them, and seen some break down, and I guess it’s similar - not 100% reliable but relatively easy to fix provided parts are available.
