!!! New video !!!
Here my new video about vikings after a long break, this time ubbe video!!
Ubbe is one of my favorite characters, he looks so much like Ragnar and that's why I love him! I hope that his character will develop more and more with time.
and I'm really looking forward to seeing season 5B, of course I'll do several video on the subject, stay tuned: D

It is good to remember that the 'sons of Ragnar' in the saga's were not his sons in real life - if Ragnar even existed at all as a single person, which is highly debated and unsure - but Viking Kings following in his footsteps. The series does a good job of making all those stories understandable by putting them all in one family, but understand that this is solely for the purpose of an understandable narrative. Björn might have been a real son, but Ubbe or Ubba was never associated with him as family, being most probably a Frisian king, Rollo was not his brother but a much, much later Viking at the court of the Franks and in Normandy. Ivar the Boneless had an until now unidentified reason for his name, with much theories about that, but was from the Viking kingdom of Dublin, and was their king. Of Hvitserk even less is known, except his role in the Great Heathen Army which roamed England for several years. Where he was from is never mentioned in the saga's.

Yes! Vikings from you. That was wonderful surprise to me see in nottifications you uploaded Ubbe. Actually i am starting to love him in a same way as Ragnar and he is most simmiliar to Ragnar because the actor who plays him. Plays himself and not try to copy Ragnar like Bjorn is trying to imitate. I cannot believe how much simmiliars, parallers and great quotes you found with him. For example when he was child and my most favorite "Skol" I dont want to comment this in a style i mostly comment on other videos like choosing my different parts. Because this one belongs to story tellings videos and character reveals. Thats why its for me to give a review to a film and not a TV show. So let me tell you some things what i love on this. 1. I love how you potrayed his character from the beginning, like a older brother who is protecting his little brothers and Ivar the most. And in the during of TV show and this video he changes into person who starts to realise his "little" brother Ivar is not little anymore and wants a power. I think he feel guilty and resposibility for that he didn't stop Ivar into going Mad man and in killing Sigurd. He regrets in what Ivar become and still doesn't want to kill him. On the other hand Ivar doesn't feel anything and thats the most saddest thing about that. 2. Second thing i love how you showed his relationships with other characters, his development and also added some great scenes from Seer which predicts his fate as King with Margrete as his wife (Didn't notice it before haha so thank you for that) 3. His simmiliars with ragnar. He is like total copy of ragnar. He wants to honor his father by that how he wants to treat with people, rule them and became a good person. Not do mistakes like his father did. But ups.. his mistake was going into camp of Aethelwulf and in that moment he lost everything what he could build. So i think in that moment he realised he cannot blame his father for not telling the truth about settlement and needs to live with his failings and mistakes. As i said i started to love this character, because he is trying to be like his father and good leader. He has his own style, charisma and he is more trustworthy in his behavior. Thank you so much for making a great tribute for this character, because by my opinion there is not better Ubbe tribute than this. and your vikings videos belongs to my most favorite. Again thank you so much and good luck in the next projects. For sure i want to see more from Vikings and getting excited for S5b from you

When ivar told ubbe "you were once my legs, but not anymore", must have really hurt him. I know ivar is a psychopathic infant with deadly tantrums but ubbe always tried to reason with ivar's anger like their mother did(this is shown when ivar kills Sigrud). He gave ivar true brotherly love, but no man should sit around and watch their brother become a tyrant.

Honnêtement cette vidéo est un chef d'oeuvre! L'une de mes favorites concernant Vikings et Ubbe (qui est l'un de mes personnages favoris) en tout cas! Tout d'abord la musique évidemment, ton choix est excellent, elle nous fait totalement rentrer dans l'atmosphère. Le début est adorable (si l'on peut formuler ça ainsi), avec Ubbe enfant, Lagertha qui dit _You look just like your father looked when he was a young man_ ! Et tous les parallèles que tu as trouvés entre Ragnar et Ubbe, un truc de fou! Tu as même réussi à inclure la relation qu'il a avec ses frères, wow Et à partir de 2:15 ça devient tellement épique, enfin toute la vidéo l'est mais disons que ça le devient encore plus avec tous les parallèles de batailles ! Un travail de maître en tout cas, et un véritable plaisir pour les yeux et les oreilles !

Ubba/Ubbe is the one of the sons who probably was more drawn to Ragnar and Ragnar was his favourite of the two Parents while Aslaug was Ivars favourite. It's so beautiful to see how Ragnars love for Ubbe is shown when he is so young and how Ubbe is so loyal to Ragnar and even gets to lead the hunt for Floki for Ragnar. Björn and Ragnar has a beautiful thing as well, but its clear Björn's loyalty is always at Lagertha's side before Ragnars =). Well Ivar is just a Narcissist and well Hvitserk and Halfdan should probably been the same character If I remember correctly what i've read and well Sigurd had a destiny in history but is dead together with his serial killer mullet wig.

If you guys like this time period King Alfred and the Heathen Army then you'd probably love Thrones of Britannia Total War game. It takes place after The Great Heathen Army invades Britannia and has revenge quests for the death of Ragnar if you play as East Anglia or Northumbria which are both Danelaw factions. Plus you can play as Viking Sea Kings which is just awesome, one is in Northern Scotland and one is in Ireland as Dyflin. Pretty fun game not the best Total War title but if you love the time period then you will wholey enjoy the game I promise you that, as I love the game for the time period.

Ubbe was the son more closely like Ragnar. Both in looks, character, and spirit. Bjorn came second. The rest of Ragnar's sons took more after their mother Aslaug's character.

But it was Bjorn who married daughter of a king. It was Bjorn who was with Ragnar for longest time. It was Bjorn who discovered seas. It was Bjorn who is strongest fighter among brothers. He is smart in his own way too. Most important he is valorous, strong, honorous, just. Actualy they are very similar with Ubbe, but Bjorn is older and raised in good family.

Hmm no i think it's ubbe who married daughter of a king, the sea say it to ragnar, and i agree bjorn deserve to be king, he is better than all sons but i like ubbe too, sure next season ubbe will have a great role to play.

Technically speaking Snafrid was not the daughter of a king (the Saami don't actually have kings, they're a tribal society, so her father would be a tribal leader) and Bjorn may be brave and strong, but he's not really all that honorable, because he cheated on his wife and neglected his daughter. Moreover, his own mother has cuckolded him and usurped the throne to which she herself did not have legal right to because she left Ragnar and married someone else, and has more or less emasculated him.

Bjorn is by far the wisest and most battle hardened among them. As far as THIS show is concerned, Bjorn was raiding with his father when the others were still kids.
