This is so great. Unfortunately where I teach neuroanatomy we don’t have many dissected brains to show these structures to the students. These videos will be super useful on my classes. Thanks for sharing such a great content.

Summary: Subcortical fibers tract (white matter) connect the different cortex areas and deep nuclei (grey matter). They are constituted of axons and can be classified by trajectories: - association fibers: connections between nuclei from the same hemisphere of the brain. (Keyword: fasciculus) - commisural fibers: cross the midline forming the corpus colossum @5:09. Almost all are inhibitory. - projection fibers: from the cortex to the brain stem. They form the corona radiata and the internal capsula @6:30.
