Kiira Motors is witnessing a surge in orders for both diesel and electric buses. This development marks a major shift in the company's strategy and highlights the country's growing appetite for sustainable transportation solutions.
Kiira Motors entered the electric vehicle market with its Kayoola EV bus a few years ago and since then the company has grown exponentially.
Their innovative electric bus model boasts a range of up to 350 kilometres on a single charge, making it ideal for urban transportation.
Our reporters paid the manufacturing plant in Nakasongola a visit and filled this report.

one bus per 3 weeks how will they make profit not unless they set a premium on them? Good idea but lack of efficiency denies them competitive advantage, cheaper and cost effective to import than to build. The only good thing is job creation otherwise this company without govt support won't survive for a month.

They're a new company. It takes years for automotive manufacturers to become profitable. The video said they can produce more than 1 bus in those 3 weeks.
