Minor corrections. The strumming is 72nps, the quints are 120nps. Also on Danny's third run that made it to the oranges, he played a modified version of the chart with slightly slower strumming and couldn't pass it despite that. Also, the first person to ever pass the ending of the chart was stepmania40 using a chart that only included the final segment (from the star power phrases until the end) and proved that passing the entire song was feasible. This is what prompted tobe to do attempts and eventually get the first pass. Stepmania40 got the second pass not too long after.

Haha the second I saw the intro sequence to this video I felt famous! I would come home from middle school every day to edit GH3 settings on QueenBee and cheat engine and upload tons of "CRAZY IMPOSSIBLE GH3 SONG BOT" videos with Windows movie maker. Lmao. What a throwback! Great video!

So we can officially say TobiGH3 is the Tosin Abasi of Guitar Hero? XD But seriously, the "rake strumming" is literally the same technique that's done on actual guitar called thumping. It was first popular on bass with guys like Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten but Tosin Abasi is the guy who started doing it in metal on guitar, I'm curious if Tobi even knew about it :)

Seeing this video unlocked memories deep inside my head. When I saw the video for the Uber Song back in early 2007 and 2008 in 6th grade. It was the most mind blowing thing I had ever seen at the time. It always got me curious if people attempted to play the song years down the line. This video confirms it. Personally, I preferred the second Uber Song. Uber Song 2. It was like the world's first GH shit post. Hearing Leonidas, Xepher by Tatsh, and so much utter random nonsense in the same video with the biggest mess of a chart had me rolling on the floor laughing so freaking hard back then. I'd love to see a follow up retrospective on the sequel to this crazy and utterly insane chart.

Hey Etienne, I might want to help correct your research on the 2nd ever Uber Song pass. While the video and the channel are completely gone, I vividly remember Stepmania40 (or someone along that screen name) became the 2nd person to pass the chart, probably somewhere in 2014, and I faintly remember his video title being in all caps, stating "2ND EVER UBER SONG PASS" and his reaction to surviving the entire 72nps strumming + 120nps quids with a red rock meter, was initially screaming "YES" as loud as he could roughly three times, being overcome by emotions for the third shout as he finishes the final strumming section. He first barely passed just the ending section after the star power bit in the blinking red maybe a month of few months before the full pass, where he pause-buffered to activate star power just as the green note strumming began, because the tilt activation didn't work when he tried to lift his guitar (He screamed "FUCK" because of that as he proceeds to pause just after the pre-strumming quids). Then again, this is all from what I remember seeing, despite no surviving video, evidence, nor channel as of today. It's lost media that will never be saved, as the channel vanished some years ago for absolutely no reason.

Don't have to modify the GH3 wii guitars to rake properly, actually, my GH3 wii guitar used to perfectly strum twice on downstrum and twice on upstrum for a while (eventually it broke and now it occasionally does three on down strum, often enough that I can't consistently combo faster strumming sections that way--whoops!)
