I have replaced over 5 HP LCD's before and first time the tape was hidden and hard to get at. I had to break/bend/crack the old screen to lift a corner to get at the tape. Thanks for video

Wow, amazing! I would recommend using a heat gun lightly on the adhesive part of the screen that way you’re not just cutting through the adhesive at a cold start

As long as it’s the same size, the brackets fit the same screw position, and the pin connector is correct, it should work.

Leave it to HP to make everything a pain. That tape you used will break instead of pull out though won't it? Hopefully they don't need to replace the screen for any reason.
