The jump in rule can help make massive hand more manageable. It let you play a card if someone else just played that same card, even if it’s not your turn. With a bigger hand youre more likely to jump in

A long time ago, James and I got matched playing Uno together. Started out with a full group of people but at some point, glitchy as UNO has always been for online, it would wonk out and not let anyone else connect at some point. So it just happened that James was stuck playing with me and 2 bots and we were going for a while. It was super fun. I don't recall who won or lost but it didn't matter to me, I was just happy to play some uno with my favorite content creator over the years :)

I mean, that's the nature of randomness. You aren't guaranteed a pattern, it may seem that it favors the one with the most cards, but you can't be too sure until you have a substantial sample size. If it is always a 50/50, then it wouldn't be random and you can predict the winner.
