The 1984 model, firing the 30-30 Win cartridge is completely new in the Uberti line, and it is made with the same passion and quality as their other historical arms. The retail price will be around 1200 euros, and it will be sold in several other versions as well.

The Model 94 was a staple of US law enforcement in some areas well into the 1980's with many highway patrol cars having one, as well as being extensively used by prison guards. (The benign visual of a 'hunting rifle' helped with PR amongst the hoplophobic public.) As with revolvers being replaced with semi-auto pistols, the Model 94 eventually replaced by Mini-14s, AR-15s, and M-4s in US law enforcement usage, with 'evil black rifle' image apparently now accepted by the hoplophobes at least in hands of law enforcement. Glad to see Uberti making them especially for those markets with more fascist gun laws.

Nice rifle, but Uberti really needs to start doing oil rubbed finish on the stocks instead of the shiny, lacquered finish that they use on all their Winchester repros. I never understood why Uberti lacquers their stocks. Chiappa does it right with their stocks.

Doublecanister4thUSArty yeah my 1873 Winchester from uberti is an absolutely beautiful rifle in fit, function, looks and quality but the wood work, which by no means is bad wood, does look a little wrong being so shiny and all

Doublecannister : I think you will find that this "toffee apple" finish is what the original Winchester stocks were finished in, they do look horrid, that is why I cant understand why they do not offer an oiled finish.

I'm happy to see a Uberti 1894...But why didn't they copy the original 1894?? What they've copied is the post 1964 (1965-1982 ish) model from the looks of things in the video.... Pretty much the least desired variant..... Considering Uberti builds reproductions of classic/historical guns, why would they have made such a poor decision?? Somebody missed a board meeting?

Taylor’s Firearms in Winchester, Virginia has them ( again ) for the ridiculously low price of $1667 plus tax !!! … I remember buying a real Winchester model 94 in 1976 for $75 , truth be told !!!

I have two 94s, a 26in. octagon barreled rifle, (1922) and an eastern carbine, (1928) both 30 WCF. They are excellent rifles. Winchester quality started sliding downhill in 1964. By the 1980s, if your wanted a good lever action, you bought a Marlin. Judging by the other Uberti firearms that I own, I am sure this new 94 is a great gun. Perhaps as good as any pre 64 original. Keep up the good work Capandball, I enjoy your videos very much.

I love how they make the gun with no stupid modern "safety" button but instead with that traditional system integratet with the lever. Also I very much like the straight shoulder stock and how beautifully the wood is polished. Uberti definitely knows how to make fine guns.

So nice to see an alternative to the old classic, especially without the ugly cross lock safety like the current Winchester production rifles!! I shall be looking for one of these soon!

Hopefully they come out with some new calibres, 32-20, 38-55, 45 colt, 44 mag ect. 30-30 Winchester 94s are so common I don't feel like these will be overly popular. Although I reckon the quality will be equal or better with the pre 64's though

My father has a Winchester 94, and it's the brush-gun that I developed my tastes around. What I'd like to see is if this Uberti is made better than, and shoots better than, the Winchester 1894's that have been made in the last 15 or 20 years (or so - there is no doubt the quality dropped with them).

Europe has descended into paganism. The place is a mess. No wonder you can't even get a traditional lever action rifle with full capacity. The EU is a big part of the problem, as well. Maybe I shouldn't look down on them since I'm Canadian, but there it is. May tomorrow be a brighter day. You're only truly defeated when you give up!

Dude lied. You can only adjust buckhorn sites for elevation not windage. That's why alot of owners don't use them. They'll mount a scope or peep sites.

If they really wanted to make a repro of the original Winchester model 1894 they should duplicate the nickel steel receiver that caused the bluing to to wear off.
@MFGordon
@MFGordon 7 жыл бұрын
Early 1894s, those made from the 1890s through the 1930s usually lost their bluing, on some guns some of it appears to have flaked off. I believe it was the nickle steel that was unable to hold the bluing. On many of those guns the receiver has turned grey even though the barrels and other steel parts still have a deep blue color. Those from the late 30s through the 1962 usually keep their bluing. The post 64 model 94s (which really began around 1962/63) had a ductile iron cast receiver that had to be iron plated in order to be blued. As the bluing wore the ugly material of the receiver below became apparent. Any attempt to re blue the post 64 receiver usually resulted in a purple receiver. The Uberti rifle in the video has a color case hardened receiver which never existed except for one or two custom rifles from New Haven .
@cs-rj8ru
@cs-rj8ru Жыл бұрын
@@MFGordon Later Post 64 guns were made from forgings and took blue very nicely. Current post 64s are cut from billet and blue just as nice. Early post 64 guns can hold a reblue very nicely, but you need to iron plate them before a blue. not many shops are capable fo that.
