Perfect solution. I struggled with this myself. I am a retired IT professional. I looked at a number of instructions for setting up the Nanostation M5 as an AP. None touch on this issue. I set the frequency to 5.825 as you suggested with 20 MHz channel width and it worked perfectly. Of course, Airmax must also be disabled. Thank you.

Yes! I always forget about disabling AirMax. By the way, I discovered that you can set the frequency to Auto if you enable the frequency list and insert a list of frequencies that work with your device. For my MBP it is 5745,5765,5785,5805,5825 Here's what it looks like: postimg.cc/wRqP0GX4

I was prepared to throw my Bullet M2 away. I worked for years, with no issues. At some point I updated the firmware, and after a while it stopped working, SSID just wouldn’t show up on any device. No signal, and no lights. I was still able to connect to the UI over the LAN interface so I changed the setting from Auto to a 2.4 Frequency that actually belongs to a channel, and lo and behold, the SSID appeared and everting works again. I've got to say, I am pissed at Ubiquiti right now. I wasted countless hours trying to find a replacement that had the performance/price ratio of this little guy, as I don’t have too much money to throw on this topic. Thanks for the video.

Agreed. I've probably waste way to much time with it as well. :)

works for me, i have different version (hard ware) of litebeam and one of them not support all frequency, so your solution work for me, thanks man

If you want a 40MHz bandwidth (or an 80MHz), you have to select the corresponding center frequency listed in the table. For instance, if you wanted 40MHz bandwidth, you could choose channels 159 or 151 (5795MHz and 5755MHz respectively). If you wanted 80MHz bandwidth you could choose channel 155 (5775MHz)

Why doesn’t setting the frequency to auto work?
@nathanlively2 жыл бұрын
Auto just picks a frequency that works well with the local RF environment, not one that is compatible with my mac.
@gareginasatryan67612 жыл бұрын
@@nathanlively why couldn’t they design it like the AP in a regular router. Where the frequency is auto and it just works
