Ubisoft could have added Yasuke in a major mission, but forcing the players to accept him as a samurai is a huge mistake. I did not know (until Dreadroberts told me) that both characters are also bisexual - I want to play as an historically accurate samurai doing samurai 'things' - not worry about who anyone sleeps with! NO company is too big to fall. Ubisoft has been on the high horse for too long thinking they can just rob consumers money, inject woke in their games and expects people to embrace it, and release a broken overpriced product to the public and passes it off as a success. Volition made the saints row game (shut down), rocksteady made the suicide squad game (planned to be shut down by warner bros), and forspoken merged because it was failing. a company that cannot survive on its own. The last Ubisoft game I ever played was Watchdogs... I actually really enjoyed it and got very invested in Aiden Pearce's story. They even made some effort to tie it together with the first AC games, then they made the sequel, dropped the serious tone and made Dedsec a bunch of Cali college kids. Never gone back.

I fully agree. It was such a good game. I was so desperate for a game like that, that I bought Watch Dogs Legion. Probably the only game I can remember from Ubisoft that at least had some fragments of a darker tone in a game. As much as I hated the dialogue, the setting and such, the Bloodline DLC made it endurable through Aiden's return.

I watched couple of japanese youtuber who talked about this topic, they arent really angry about yasuke being samurai, it is more like they are mad AC because ubi said they are doing effort to adopt japanese culture in the game as real as possible bla bla bla but not even single historically accurate, timeline, properties, culture, etc... and the worst part is ubi just took what they want without any permission, like temple's design, historical illustration, etc, which are for japanese using other people's art/creation for any use without permission is very unethical
