Thanks a lot for the lecture, I found it really helpful. I was just wondering if it is possible to replace the Gaussian blur by a median filter. This way insignificant edges and other noise will be eliminated without adding new colour to the image.

this is great. i do kind of wonder how you march the laplacian operator for a 2D image though, for corner detection around 43:00. it's straightforward for 1D, (just one direction) but what schemes do you use for 2D?
