I'm an Auburn fan and a Gus Malzahn fan. Go look at a few minutes of any press conference from his years at Auburn. Then notice the contrast between his attitude/demeanor from then to now. It is so good to see him happy, energized, and with a very obvious "pep in his step." I want him to absolutely dominate at UCF. Enjoy your ride on the Gus Bus, Knight Nation!

Not only that but everytime they got close to a playoff spot they flopped. He was a good coach he didn't deserve to get fired. But after 2013 against Jamies Winston Auburn didn't make to the championship or even close since then.

I love coach Malzahn!!! He got UCF to 9-4 in his first season and beat the Florida Gators for the first time in UCF history! He and his staff and the entire team are going to bring UCF back to its highest levels like we've seen in the past! Auburn fan here. I think this is a great job for Gus. He was not getting it done at AU, but sometimes a change of scene can work wonders. Gus will run a clean program..recruit high character guys...and keep yall out of trouble. IF he gest transfer QBs, yall will be amazing. That and OLs. Those two things were his downfall. I am thankful for the good times he brought us and I wish Gus nothing but the best in the future. I will be pulling for him to succeed at UCF. He is a genuinely good guy. Met him a few times.

To the UCF fans(from an Auburn fan) When Gus said he has never been this excited. Let me tell you he is being 100% honest. I have never seen him this excited, ever. There is one thing I think kept Gus from taking the next step and I seen the Coach actually recognized that thing for the first time here. That thing is He never stepped back and re-evaluate the situation. When we needed Gus to make the right adjustments he wasn't able to step back and do so, but here he recognized it for the first time. From what I see here is that you guys got a great Coach and will be successful. Good luck to you and best wishes from Auburn fans who will be watching.

This is a great hire. Hes ready to have our boys winning. Heupel wanted STATS. Gus wants championships. I like his focus on defense and its promising that he says he wants to schedule top non conference opponents. Any UCF fan should be excited. Lebby was a question mark, Heupel was trash, Gus wants to be here.

I cant help, but to feel TN shot themselves in the foot. Maybe Gus wasn't interested, but Gus wouldve have been such a good hire for TN. Instead, they opened up the job he wanted most. Josh Heupel maybe up being great. But Gus's experience could have stabilized the TN program and put it in a position to attract better coaches after his retirement.

Gus was embarrassed by Auburn and Jay Jacobs IMO. He never had full control of the program. His playcalling was led by what people wanted out of him. Gus is still a young head coach. He learned. In Florida with better recruits I think he will win as long as he’s there. He can now coach.

How could UCF possibly be in a national championship or any major bowl games with their schedule? I checked their schedule. They play maybe two or three half-way decent teams. The rest are glorified High School teams, so I don't understand how UCF can make it too any thing big, even if they go undefeated, because it's against a bunch of shit teams.

Omg gus got out coached by one of the best coaches of all time. He only challenged them every year, sometimes even knocking them off. His cv is incredible for most coaches to get a decent power 5 job. The fact he is coming to ucf says a lot. Idk if he is the best coach in the aac but he is by far one of he best. If you want to nit pick every detail, I cannot stop you. But you'll find that if you do believe in something strongly enough, you will truly be able to make it a reality. If you look hard enough you will find it.
