Such an emotional movie but no matter her reasons for hiding her ailment, I still believe they could have gone through the hard times together regardless what might happen. In real life, the husband might live in guilt for the rest of his life for not being there for her much more sleeping with the house help. Nice movie in all standard. Heartbreaking death. There is a thing about when bad news is shared. Especially news that can't be corrected and we know the only way out is death in a limited time.... I am sure she knew how sad he would have been from when he finds out about the news till she dies. So she just wanted to shorten that time so they could have a longer time of happiness. Honestly these things aren't easy. I know it's hard to be kept in the dark but nobody is having it harder than the one who knows they are going to die.
