Thanks MJL! This team is getting better every game. The hiccups with players traveling, bad passes, and missed layups hopefully will be less, as expected. The unforced errors luckily haven't hurt them too much so far either. This is the best team this early in the season that we have had in years even with 50 points a night sitting on the bench! (As Geno has mentioned) The Big East conference is stacked with talented teams too! We will be well prepared, with our schedule this season, for the post season in March!. Go Huskies!

I always had the feeling that Nika reminded me of someone and the other day it finally dawned on me...Arya Stark. The difference of course is Nika is a real warrior.

That was pretty good. Duke is a very well-rounded team. Ball-handling was a a bit difficult because Duke played tight D, but with player movement the offense still worked pretty well. I like how Aaliyah has matured and now makes better decisions and still has the great energy and courage to do great things. She's a lot of fun to watch. Nika is like that too. She does a lot more of what she and the coach want and less bad things. Her career assists number is going to be ginormous. Ayanna is giving some great minutes. She's fitting into this team much better than she did her high school team. The spacing is better, the tempo of play is better and the need for physicality that she brings is better.

Im sincerely grateful for all that you do MJL, especially living in Asia, I struggle to be able to follow UConn. I remember being so excited to watch the NCAA final but when I saw your thumb nail of Aliyah Boston, I knew we had lost which spoiled the viewing. Could you try to select a thumbnail that does not hint at the final score? Much Appreciated -

Azzi Aaliyah and Nika, thats all you have to say, they are a perfect basis for any team. Smart and playing with a lot of heart and talent. Easy to add any great player like Aubrey or Lou to the team and just dominate with ease. On the downside there is just the lack of bigs and dominace in the paint. Aaliyah is great, she plays super intelligent but she is not the biggest and you sometimes can see her short commings. She makes up for it with her talent but there is only so much you can do, the team really needs her and Dorka. Patterson on the other hand, i am really starting to not like her game: she is overly strong and big but she does not play smart. Her positioning, her movement as soon as she is in the game the UCONN defence is in utter chaos, everyone is all over the place, zone defense not working at all and also on offense her plays aint smart at all, she just uses brute force. She has the strength, athletisism and height Aaliyah lacks a little but sometimes it feels like she doesnt really know how to play basketball.
@deanna84872 жыл бұрын
Patterson is still a freshman. Like they are going to have lapse but her upside from what I’ve been seeing you going to be huge.But she has been a huge help defensively.rebounding she’s had a couple of steals and effected play that led to TOs. And offensively I think she’s just trying to find her identity on this team. Each game you can kind of see her do alittle bit more but one she figures it out. I think she’s going to be unstoppable.

Uconn is too depends on Nika,somebody should share her duty.So when the other team put all the focus on her,Uconn has to find another one to take up her job.

Fudd-A-Roo.... A-Roo is the sound a a dog/ wolf yells...So it is Huskie Fudd......... .Can you imagine with me now: Nika for Nike, (and) Nike For Nika....The fastest Lady Basketball Player Wears Nikes!!!! Then picture Nika with Growl, stand in a uniform with Nikes on her feet!!!! Now here or later as Pro in the USA or in Europe promoting Nikes for women!!! But no Nike is a sleep at the wheel!!!!!.............. The Teams is running so fast the Bigs are every where, Aaliyah and Aubrey So fast down the court , so many steals and rebounds WoooW....... Lou great baskets, keep firing them in!!! Okay Caroline keep getting in shape and running the court ,your shot will go in!!!! Ms. Patterson are you shooting with your eyes open practice it; your shot will go in do not worry about being fouled, be hit , look the ball into the basket, you will make the shot you have the safety glasses on; I wore them to!!!!

Anyone think Caroline just isn’t going to work out? I just don’t see her really contributing anything when she plays. 🤷♂️

She’s been injured. She’ll work out. She played well last year when she was needed.

@@mpare49 exactly Caroline was one of the main reasons why we won most of our games last year. She just needs a little time to adjust from her injuries
@mb0422 жыл бұрын
Caroline just needs to get comfortable coming back from injury. Did you forget she was our go to player for a while last season? She was a big factor to our wins when Paige & Azzi were out.
@bennybenson52 жыл бұрын
She also didn’t play at all in the summer cuz she was recovering from hip surgery. She’ll probably be 100% comfortable in February and March

@@TheStranger513 I bought a animated movie call the croods guess you'll have to Google the scene where the family was hunting and from Grandma down no one seemed to be able to catch the animal it was in a Fred Flintstone error movie so they were on foot The baby was sweet all throughout the movie and after all failed the father said Release the baby and in diapers alone the baby came out like a pitbull and attacked and captured dinner and Nika reminds me of that the way she plays on defense relentless you have to Google I guess just that scene to understand what I'm talking about or like I did get the movie and watch it it's good for kids and the family the scene is at the beginning of the movie maybe 5 or 10 minutes in Release the baby
