Last season Paige had 28 points against Baylor at Elite 8 and they won. Tonite Paige had 27 points and send UCONN again for the 14th consecutive Final 4. What a performance despite her injury and absence for 2.5 months.

Great guy, great coach. My daughters played at a reasonably high level here in Europe, I know how important a coach's input can be, both technically and humanely. Auriemma checks all the boxes. Respect, sir.

i am kinda hooked to coach Auriemmas analysis.... many coaches can learn a lot from his statements, no matter win or lose.

UConn, you almost gave me a heart attack! We won... My heart goes to Dorka... Against Sandford, we need the Bigs...who is going to step in for Dorka? Stanford has tall timber, the 2 Hull sisters, and that pocket rocket Haley... Paige is Not 100, but had flashes of her old self... More excitement to come...win or lose, I am proud of these young women! Can we imagine winning the whole thing, after the ups and downs of this season?

I hope Dorkas' injury doesn't change her mind about coming back next year! Good luck with the next two games (😉)... Go Huskies!

Caroline slow down and be patient. Shooting in practice and shooting in a fast moving game is so different. Get well soon Dorka, we will miss you. Nika's defense got the Huskies flowing, she needs to be in the game. Other teams bigs vs the UConn guards. Have fun ladies and lets go Huskies !

The reason they rush it is they’re worried about the ‘block’. You’ve got to teach them not to.

@@janetwatkins4981 Nope. Like all the great coaches have said, rebounding decides the games of really close opponents. This isn’t hindsight [loss to SC]. It’s true always. Pat Summit said something very astute about it: [paraphrasing] - “Scoring win games, but rebounding wins Championships.”

When coach mention Paige's recovery, including strength training...... I thought 'strength training??' And I contribute this sentiment with love....... after Paige was injured, and at first.... watching and rewatching how she went down, who also thought that there was water on the floor at that spot? And then I watched and rewatched when Paige landed from a jump shot...... I will use this........>< as an example of what her knees looked like when she landed...... which, to me - demonstrates medial weakness, which for sure, over the years may have contributed to that injury, and for years I have observed the same with young females. My biggest complaint was that their coaches have no idea of how to improve strength, when their only concern is to just play and improve motor skills...... and this is long before coach Auremma came along. Fortunately Paige is as skinny in her upper body as she is in her lower. I truly hope that in the off season, the kid can improve her strength around the knee girdle, which includes tendons and ligaments...... in the off season, so that she doesn't suffer another injury!!

Apparently, no one listened to you. Or read this. Side to side repetitive motion is the worse thing for the knee. Unfortunately, most sports require this. We’ll all look forward to Paige’s return for the 23-24 season.
