Nika arguing with the ref in 1st quarter is one of the reasons I’m going to miss her next season😢

Nika committing fouls and smiling afterwards is why I’m gonna miss her because yeah she needs to be careful but one thing about her shes plays amazing defense and puts pressure on the opposing team.

When Aaliyah walked back out of the tunnel and the band queued up then the fans stood and cheered, I literally started tearing up🥹 and then Aaliyah became emotional😭😭😭baby I started balling because she felt how much we as UCONN NATION LOVE HER❤️❤️❤️❤️

I’m glad I’m not the only one that got emotional after that. It hurt me hearing her cry in the background and seeing that happen 😢

EVERY GAME...the Refs SUCK !!!!!!!!!! The league needs to do something about it immediately. Teams think playing "tough" against UCONN is to just beat the crap out of them cause you're not good enough to guard them or stop them.

When Aaliyah went out at 6:02 in the 3rd (51:00 on the clip) UConn was up by 6 points, 41-35. They had a team huddle focused on tightening up their game and closed the third with a 21-10 and the 4th with q 24-8 run for a total of 45-18 after Aaliyah left. In that 16:02 all four Freshmen played at a new level, as Geno said in the postgame, "knowing there was no one on the bench whou could come in to help." Let's hope Aaliyah is OK and that the Freshmen have a new perspective of their importance.

@MJL243 Thanks again from the outer edge of our flat earth. Two things mitigated against following the game earlier: It was way to early on a Sunday morning; and the Varsity network must have been overloaded with the number of games in progress as the feed kept breaking. MJL243 to the rescue as usual! Thanks for all your good work.

Q: How dirty do you want to play? Providence (Bandoma): YES! Is she a basketball player or a hitman?

These officials need to go back to school and learn what a foul is and isn't. They call fouls on plays that are obviously not a foul, and don't call them that are so obviously are fouls. When they have their hands all over the ball handler that's a foul. And when the ball handler changes directions suddenly and bang into the defender that's not a foul on the defender. A lot of the games are won or lost through bad educating which is unfair and wrong.

I feel he player who did the intentional foul should be suspended from playing in games until the injured player is cleared to play.
@Someonespecial1117 ай бұрын
That wouldn’t be fair. Aaliyah nose being broke from an intentional foul, but did the Providence player intentionally try to break her nose?? No. So it wouldn’t be fair no matter how much of a UConn fan I would expect my team to go extra hard for me while I’m out the game and make the other team walk away with the L 😌

Awful referees. One thing the frosh 3-pt shooters need to know is that they CAN make every wide-open 3. There's no reason to ever miss any of them. Good job Ice. I think she's developed to the point where she can do this.

I've always had a problem when the losing team's attitude (thru mean and unsportsmanlike conduct) screams: "Well if we can't beat 'em with skill and talent, might as well add another one of their tremendous athletes to their injured list" as in the Edwards broken nose scenario here. Oh Blessed Karma!!! They say payback is a bitch; but to me the best revenge is winning the game. Hey MJL, as always, thank you for still being there for us when it's not an SNY broadcast...another Blessed be for Karma for SNY, but I'll stop here while I'm still in a pretty good mood. Blessings to all!!!

It's always a challenge playing these zero talent teams. They take the bull in the china shop approach in an attempt to slow their certain annihilation.
