In the United States, anyone with even a trace of African American ancestry has been considered Black. Even as the twenty-first century opens, a racial hierarchy still prevents people of color, including individuals of mixed race, from enjoying the same privileges as Euro-Americans. In his book, G. Reginald Daniel argues that we are at a cross-roads, with members of a new multiracial movement pointing the way toward equality. Presented as part of the Humanitas Lecture Series at UC Santa Barbara. Series: "Humanitas" [2/2003] [Humanities] [Show ID: 7094]

I am Black, White & even a bit Native. Welcome to my world. My son adds Mexican-Apache to the mix and my grandkids are adding Turkish & Egyptian. So I think INTERRACIAL fits far better than any of the baggage others have tried to impose.

This stuff is so interesting. Its so strange that no one but this guy seems to notice how society accepts that while the term "black" may be offensive to some "african american" people, nobody considers that "white" might be an objectionable term. I complained at georgia tech this year at having to fill out "white" on a form which offered "african american" as an option and they looked at me like I was nuts!

As a woman who has the fish-belly white skin color, an frizzy hair (thanks to my gr-gr-grandmother who was NOT a slave) and whose ancestry is traced acrossed Ohio's color lines, with family buried in "White" cemeteries and "Black" cemeteries... its time even some in the African-American community wake up and realize not all were slaves.

There is no such thing as "multiracial" under a System of White Supremacy! Race is a social/political system based on color classifications. These classification determine your status within the System of White Supremacy. Racists/White Supremacists do a great job at confusing Non-White people that other classifications like "African-American", "Hispanic", "Asian", "Biracial", "Multiracial", "part White" have relevance when the only classifications that matter are whether you are White or not White. Just ask yourself, "What color is a multiracial person?" You will probably have a different answer for every person who you ask this question which shows it's illogical (logic is consistent). One thing White people know is that no matter what classification a person with Non-White parentage is that they are not White people! "If you do not understand White Supremacy (Racism)- what t is and how it works- everything else you know will only confuse you" Neely Fuller, Jr. - The United Independent Compensatory Code/System/Concept

Racism is about maintaining a power relationship between people. Whether a White person is as wealthy as Donald Trump or sleeping on a park bench, what they say and do carries more weight than the wealthiest Black person. Just ask Bill Cosby! Racial classifications are political "classes" that define status (power). This is and always have been the purpose of defining people as "Races." The historical record reflects this.

Please explain in detail how a Black person can be a Racist. The only form of Racism that has ever existed is White Supremacy and the System of White Supremacy is a total global social system that operates in all areas of people activity (Economics, Education, Entertainment,Labor, Law, Politics, Religion, Sex and War). Looking at it from this perspective, its impossible for a Non-White person to be a Racist. Confused and discourteous, maybe. Racist, impossible. Now either this is true or false. This all comes down to how you are defining Racism. If the definition you are using is correct, then you have nothing to worry about. Its just a few "bad" White people you need to look out for. But if Racism is a total social system of White Supremacy, you've made the biggest error a person can make which, unfortunately, most Non-White make. I think this is why Mr. Neely Fuller says. "If you do not understand White Supremacy (Racism) -what it is and how it works, everything else you know will only confuse you."
@heruartist71

Your error is that you do not use functional (or operational) definitions to explain the workings of the phenomena which is a common error people make. This leads to statements such as "Black people can be racist" or "I am multi-racial, bi-racial, mixed, African-American, etc." which is totally illogical. And please don't use Google as a reference! Social scientists use operational definitions to avoid these errors. Truth operates in a constant pattern and the way you can the truth about something is to understand these patterns (what something does consistently under certain conditions). The words you use to explain anything should be based on function alone! This prevents you from defining things incorrectly. For instance, many people have been convinced a male and female can switch genders (so called "transgender"). Defining gender by function, it would be easy to see that males and females function differently and can never transform from one to the other, just as people can't transform into birds! This is what is called insanity! You can apply this method to anything in the universe which is what all scientists do in research. So if you give Racism a functional or operational definition, how would it work (in all areas of activity people engage)? What is its origin and what purpose does it serve? If you look at it this way, simple logic will lead you to the fact that the only form of Racism is White Supremacy. I suggest you intensely study the statement below. "If you do not understand White Supremacy (Racism) - what it is and how it works - EVERYTHING else you understand will only confuse you." Neely Fuller, Jr. - The United Independent Compensatory Code/System/Concept

Unless your friend really did want to make that club, more than likely, he or she was just being obnoxious. I've met people who've tried to do the same thing, but they always give up easy because they are just making a point - they could care less about "European ethnic pride." But if I was a student/faculty at that school, I wouldn't object to that. The majority of ethnic clubs at my school have members of all ethnicities.

To ExxtoI1. Listening to this man speak wasn’t exactly inspiring i get that ( but ) i have to disagree with you on a few things, not that its going to matter much to you if at all. I personally don’t believe the professor/ Author/ Speaker had or has any problem being black albeit light complexion or not. However based on what you mentioned about yourself at least to some extent ( you did ) now just an observation but you could be making the problem you experienced with yourself to also be his problem with racial identity! which again as i stated earlier i didn’t see any of that with this guy. The truth is if someone believes themselves to be multiracial and they want to express that truth, then thats up to them if they have for example taken a DNA test and it comes out positive for being part European than they are what their blood says they are, they may culturally want to identify as black completely ! fine but the blood never lies. You also mentioned something to the effect of why would someone want to identify with an ethnic group that never showed love or just cause to individuals , and where that could be considered understandable its flawed thinking at its core because truth is truth regardless! The there is one chief Architect ! I think many folks from one specific diaspora become angry when someone they know is mixed and I’m talking directly mixed and severs the ideology of 1 dropism and professes biracialesk. Now there are a few reasons for this” you probably know a few right off hand. Look in conclusion we could all be the same ethnicity and find all kinda creative ways to hate one another. Frumentius Ricardo signing off ( peace ) !

It makes me laugh/kills me how much there are some POC's that can't stand just being African. Question. Why?? How many white people have a problem with being just white, when in reality they are not necessarily 100% European? I'll wait. No offense, but all i see is a light-skinned black guy who speaks quickly, simply trying to justify his discomfort with being just "black". My god, what the hell is "multiracial" for light-skinned black people. I'd be willing to bet he's not "biracial", which is something COMPLETELY different. I'm a black born from a light-skinned black woman and a brown skinned black man. Made fun of as a child for my hair and my features, but thank god I had brown skin. I remember being 16-17 and thinking just like this dude. I'll be completely honest....it was because I lived in a society that made me feel BAD about being "just black". I always had to add some BS to it, to make myself exotic. It took my darker-skinned, more "African" looking brother to help me understand what my problem really was. My god, this dude sounds just like me. Why on earth would I ever want to be proud of a group that has done nothing more than hate anyone that looks or is a part like me? This guy and his fast talking........jesus. If you want to be "multiracial" more power to you. My nieces are bi-racial. Having one parent of another race is something completely different. This guy is not. Keeping talking fast my dude and coming up w/books about how to not be black. Whatever makes you feel good bro. I remember a decade ago I was right there w/you. Now.....I'm black and proud! ETA: "Multi-racial" stay thinking BLACK people sit there wasting their time on, "What you want to be better than us because you're lighter"? No bro! Most black really, really don't give a damn. Way too many other problems. I to this day have no idea why mixed-people stay thinking black people are wasting their best lives on the contemplations of "light-skinned black people think they're better than us!". You do realize you do nothing but play into the "hiearchy that you yourself talk of in this damn monolgue of nothingness! This is why I can't really deal with the whole "multiracial" BS. You've convinced yourself that ALL black people want to be YOU, and that all white people hate YOU. You've drugged yourself on the very bullsh@t that you think blacks and white accept as law. Newsflash, white people will never except you and black people REALLY, REALLY don't care that much about you. I know the light-skinned has you shook, but seriously bruh, come on.
