So many things you could do with that ability. For myself, I'd love to see an ability to reconstruct the genetic identity -- and maybe the morphology? - of the common ancestors of each split in the lineage.

Why aren't you as intrigued by the possibility of alien species that contributed to our genome? I'm going to continue to be inspired by the greats, Newton, Einstein, Tesla while you stay within your 3D head and it's 3D world, arrogantly convinced you can arrive at the answers with the sheer power and "brilliance" of your intellect combined with the conventional scientific approaches.
