Thomas should do more of this. It is a much overlooked fact that Jonah Sithole was the actual father of modern mbira music, because he was the one that started imitating the mbira on the guitar when Thomas was still doing Elvis and gospel. It took Jonah some time to get Thomas to join. After Jonah had left for the last time in 1988, Thomas just gave up looking for a mbira guitar player that good and just put the mbira there. jonah in deed brought the guitar version of mbira...but thomas had been performing already with a local band with this traditional songs that he wrote...

Joshua Dube was first in 1972 then Jonah was second starting around 1975, but ahead of both of them was Pickett Chiyangwa and the acid band they were playing traditional music and Pickett was doing Mbira guitar long before Thomas even went to join forces with Joshua in 1972 at Hallelujah Chicken Run band
