Just bought one. Can’t wait to hear it. My main amp is the incredible Domino 3. Incredible amp, but I need something smaller for my travel gigs.

Did I hear this right? You can only use 1 of the 6 effects at a time and you have to send the single effect to both channels, or pan it? Seems pretty limiting. Can't have one effect on the guitar and different one on the other channel. If you have external effects via the effects loop, are they applied equally to both channels?

re: If you have external effects via the effects loop, are they applied equally to both channels? That's a good question! I didn't consider that. This is just my best guess... at 2:50, you can see the efx channel has 3 knobs: pan, efx selector, level. I would think that the level knob affects onboard efx only. So if you used the efx loop, the pan knob would still be used to blend your efx loop into channels 1 and 2. Then you could sneak in the onboard effects using the level knob. ex) use the onboard reverb, and a chorus pedal in the efx loop. Control the volume/gain of the chorus from the pedal itself. Use the level knob to equally pan BOTH the onboard reverb and efx loop chorus between channels 1 and 2. I understand your concern about wanting to have one effect on channel 1 and a different effect on channel 2. In most situations, this amp will be used for solo performances, so you'll have a mic input and an acoustic guitar input. Most of my experience is such that it is more preferable to have the same effect applied to channels 1 and 2. e.g. It is not pleasing to have reverb on your vocals and delay on your acoustic guitar. Likewise, it's not pleasing to have a long reverb on your vox, and a short reverb on your guitar. Whatever reverb setting you have, you want that same setting applied equally to both vox and guitar. Then you can just pan which channel has more or less of the same effect. Put differently, you wouldn't have your Vox with a short delay, and your guitar with a long delay. That would just be weird. You'd want the same delay setting applied to both vox and guitar, and then just pan which channel has more or less delay. Anything more complicated than that efx wise, and you're gonna need a soundman, which is getting out of the realm of a solo act.

Udo Roesner invented the AER compact 60 range. This amp is a step up from that.
