I am not a sound specialist and I clarify we all have different tastes both speakers are designed for different situations the UE MEGABOOM the sound is omnidirectional means that you can listen to the speaker from any direction you put yourself and it does not lose the sound instead the jbl charge 4 is directional 1 single direction, now that being said charge 4 its bass is deeper the UE MEGABOOM has bass yes but I notice it a little lost since being omnidirectional it loses details but it is still good personally for my taste of music the jbl charge 4 is better, here is a preference for sounds we all do not have the same tastes so there you can choose which one you prefer. I'm missing telling you that the UE MEGABOOM is louder than charge 4 and also the UE MEGABOOM is more expensive than charge 4

The JBL one has speakers facing the mic but the UE has speakers on the opposite side (even if it's 360). I think this arrangement makes it an unfair comparison.

Charge 4 wins because I have a UE Megablast and it gets louder and sounds better, but Charge 4 sounds similar to it and it has deeper/more bass when Megablast has more upperbass, but the Charge 4 has the same similar bass but it's better and deeper. If the UE Megaboom is worse than the UE Megablast, then I think I WOULD KNOW xD nice video though!!

Yeah, I agree, the megaboom gets louder but the bass isn't as. Real or crisp sounding. They make it into that type of rumbling bass instead of smooth bass. Probably so you can hear it more.

Idk what model you got but the MEGABLAST's max dB is 93. 40% louder than the megaboom. I strongly doubt the charge 4 can get as loud as this.

JBL is looks newer than the megaboom. Better they are the same new. Then test it., because I have wonderboom,ue boom,megaboom and megablast. Everything is good at higher volume. I'm planning to try hyperboom the newly launch speaker of Ultimate ears

The ue megaboom was quiter and wayy less bass and less sound stage and the jbl charge 4 destorted a little bit at the beginning of the song but it was louder and have more bass and better sound overall.

Not true, JBL is very clear in the highs, I have it so I'd know, it also depends on what song you play as well some songs sound alot better then others

Actually the Charge 4 lacks a bit of treble, but for the most part only at higher volumes. It's just the Megaboom which makes it sound harsh. In reality the nature of a small driver being pushed to it's limits will cause intermodulation distortion. This can only be mitigated by the following three: 1. Reduction of lower bass output (like the Megaboom does, and it sounds terrible) 2. Make use of treble compression to keep loudness at times where the bass doesn't hit hard (which the Megaboom also does at maximum) 3. Sacrifice general loudness or treble for a more balanced and cleaner sound (what the Charge 4 does)

@@jblbasstester6198 the sony have the best tuning and dsp for there speakers because they rarely sound muddy and when it does it was a little bit but Sony always fixes the issues on the next speaker when they comes out but the sony does all of the jbl and ue does as you said and still keeps the detail and music together
