Hello everyone,
I am back with the first video of the tutorial series of a Realistic FPS Game in UE5. I tried to be very clear while recording this video. I hope you like the video and can keep up with it easily. I love it so far but at times it felt like you were going a bit too fast, maybe beginners like myself might benefit from slowing down a tad. The text you put on the screen where you showed the name of the IA's was really useful though, I hope you keep doing that in future videos.

Which version of Unreal Engine are you using, because in 5.0.3 there is no option for input on the right click context menu.

For some reason, my character moves super fast and jumps insanely high even though I put in all the exact values that he put in in the video. Can someone please help me?

When he says set the values to 300 and 400 (for max walking speed and jumping velocity respectively) he means 300cm/s and 400cm/s which is 3.0m/s and 4.0m/s, you probably accidentally put 300m/s and 400m/s instead. Units matter.

Go to the folder of your project and delete it. Sometimes Unreal engine can cause that kind of problems. Don't forget to join our discord.

uh... i cant import anything. Also, be more clear in the future because you didnt say anything about importing anything but instead cut to some random time, leading to lots of confusion. I cannot import any files into my Unreal editor. What im doing: going to content drawer and pressing "import" next to the "add" button. Then, I select the folder- but I cant select a folder. I individually have to import all of the assets. However, the import button is greyed out for some reason. Please help. Edit: I dont have any of the tabs that everyone has. List of tabs I dont have: Viewport, Construction Scr..., Event Graph, BP_FirstPersonCharacter, and MANY more. Either this is outdated, or... my unreal is seriously broken.

If none of them are there you most likely need to just go get them in one of the selectable options at the top left. Also if you have uassets you can also choose to copy and paste that folder into your content folder in your file explorer or just cut and paste it there. If you have any other questions feel free to ask me, I’m no expert at the field as a whole so I can’t answer every single question but I did go to school for it and I do currently work in the gaming industry.
