UE5 Vcam Livelink Set-up in Unreal Engine 5 for Virtual Cameras

Hello, i'm doing exactly what you are doing in the video but my ipad dont shows up in the live link windows when i click on source, tried with my iphone too and i doesnt work, any idea why ?

Why can I not find a single tutorial that talks about how to interact with your game during the realtime virtual camera (i.e: opening a door)? I feel like it has something to do with clicking "simulate the game" but when you do that it takes away the LiveLink UI, which is a huge disappointment. I've seen it done in videos but no one talks about how to do it.

Thanks i am able to connect vcam using remote session but ipad not showing up as a bus message source. i am able to view remote session on ipad

Hi! There is an issue that Message Bus Source cant find iphone, iphone already connected and show the viewport in UE5 but cant find in UBS

I thought we need to use the LIVE LINK VCAM(with pink background visual from the ios device) for unreal engine with an updated UI ? that one look different from the blog

I found the fix to my issue! In the Live Link VCAM app > at the bottom right is the gear icon. This is the settings. Under the Connection Type it was set to "Pixel Streaming". I set it to "Remote Session" and now it is seen and can control UE remotely. It's still not the best. The controls are very sensitive. Im sure there is a way to change the setting. I hope this helps!

Vive is more stable tracking, you can add it to your Vcam set-up and still harness the Ipad UI

Was wandering how come we still cannot use this tracking system for Virtual Production combine with a real camera and composure for everyone here, why ? Will try ask unreal, because this is the solution for everyone. Thank you for sharing with us!

Aw gawwd i have spent now maybe 40 hours doing everything every single one of these videos says - going through as much tech details as possible. and yet i simply cannot get the ipad (latest gen) to connect to UE5. it never appears in the Message Bus Source. Will pay money to someone that can tech support this!! :( :(

Make sure all your firewalls are disabled

So Kallum, not sure if you're having the issue, but I found thatbeing on ethernet and wireless on my computer was causing an issue (my phone was on wifi). All my firewalls are still enabled, I WAS prompted to allow unreal to have network connections and I allowed for public and private networks. Then it worked. I had my IP address entered in UDP messaging project settings, I didnt have to use the " :6666" for static whatever that it mentions in setups.

Make sure you are set to Remote Session an not Pixel Streaming in Live Link App.

check and make sure you have actually brought them up? I mistook those camera icons for them, they're actually hidden by default

Wouldn't have hurt to include information on WHICH IP address needs to be used. It's IPv4, btw.
