He was also better in the second leg against Man U and first leg against Juve. But he did miss that penalty unfortunately. In 2003/04 - Figo carried Madrid. Figo destroyed Porto who won the tournament. Figo was highest assist provider I believe. Against Monaco he was the only player who threatened over both legs. Zidane bottled it. In the first leg Zidane and R9 missed 2 or 3 easy headers from Figos genius play. In 04/05 - not even worth debating. Zidane was awful. Figo was tremendous. Carried them in the group stage - most assists in team and tournament again I think. Assist of the tournament against Leverkusen. Destroyed Wisla in the knockout. Destroyed Roma twice with 2 of the best performances I've ever seen. Figo scored more too. Zidane was invisible. First leg against Juventus they both did well. Buffon denying Figo. Second leg Figo and Ronaldo threatened. Zidane was ineffective. In their last 2 champ league campaigns together - Zidane was awful and Figo was magnificent.
