hey max, so how did you actually tune your car with your laptop? did you just buy a usb to OBD2 cable? what is the app or program that u are using called? Im assuming you can just download the UEL headers + e85 tune from online?

hey mate, did you ever end up getting this car dyno'ed? Also how is the fuel consumption on e85? cheers
@maxxjonesyy3 ай бұрын
Hey mate, I never got it on a dyno but there are many dyno graphs out there with very similar mods to this one. Regarding the fuel consumption, expect to get about 20 percent less than you would on a tank of 98 or so

Any updates on the 86? Would like to see your progress :)

It’s honestly stayed pretty much the same besides a front lip and rear spats. Looking to enter in a drift event very soon though which I will film and do another walk over of the car :)

@@maxxjonesyy let's gooo! drifting has always sounded fun but i've never had the courage to try it

I’m thinking about running the same setup as u but with OFT instead of the tune u have. What’s your fuel consumption like? How much worst is it than U98? Would you recommend diy header install for someone that has only ever done oil changes before?
@maxxjonesyy2 жыл бұрын
I’m personally not a fan of OFT and the off the shelf tune style, but do what you please. E85 generally uses an extra 15-25% of fuel compared to 98 and the way you drive. And lastly yes, it’s super easy and hard to mess anything up in the process.

If you couldn't get E85 would you say it's still worth it?
@maxxjonesyy3 жыл бұрын
As in the headers on a 98 tune? Absolutely still a better improvement over stock for sure
@garrettfranz68363 жыл бұрын
can you run 91 octane once its tuned if you aren't near e85 at the time of your next fill up?
@maxxjonesyy3 жыл бұрын
I'm on an E85 only tune so no i can't technically fill up with any other fuel at the moment. If you go the more expensive route and get a flex fuel sensor and a flex tune (google this if you're not sure) you can run any mixture of E85 and 98 or 91 depending on what you choose.
@richiesworld13 жыл бұрын
91? Shouldn't you run at least 98? Are you in Oz?
@maxxjonesyy3 жыл бұрын
@@richiesworld1 Yes, I’m not sure why I wrote that. With these being high compression engines you should only run 98 octane or E85. If you were super desperate I’m sure you could get a super conservative 91 tune but I don’t see why you would even bother given the effort and potential risk.

What’s your wheel setup?

They’re Rays 57CR in 17x9+38. And the tyre setup is a 245/40 Hankook RS4
