There are other D1GP champions, but Ueo is just something else. No turbo, no big engine, no fucking handbreak, great angles too. That's pure style!

King Geedorah I wouldn't say Formula D is shit, I mean not everyone can get sideways with something like 500-1000+HP cars,even if shitty sideways, not everyone can do it, but I do admit, I kinda like this drifitng more, focuses more on the control of the car, rather than powering over with a huge engine after engine braking (or whatnot) XD

Muamin Hugsy i didnt mean shit as in the drivers are shit, i meant it as its uninteresting to watch because all they do is handbrake and powerover which are both beginner techniques. (drift bible) i much rather watch underpowered cars without LS swaps that require technique rather then power. thats why i love watching ueo and keiichi in the 86's, and ueo's KE70

King Geedorah I knew someone had to make a drift bible reference XD But yes id say control +low power > LS Swapped s13 pushing 600ps and a hydraulic handbrake lol

+Muamin “Cloud” Hugsy Actually, for a pro, and I'll say it again, for a pro, drifting with very powerful cars is much easier. Why? Because in formula D they have an abuse of the e brake. If you try to drift a 1000 hp drift machine and using e brake all the time, then for a pro is piece of cake. If you try to drift it like Ueo is doing with its AE86 then is MUCH more difficult. But I think that FD destroyed the meaning of drifting. Drifting means control, elegance, and skill. FD transmuted everything into overpowered cars with LS engines.

it was a tomei + revolver engine, and it doesn't have a rev limiter though it didn't make power over 10500 it went to 14k rpm if needed, no bs

@@spncrgrn No limiter, the camshafts weren't big enough to wring the engine apart, so he could take the RPM's up if needed.

He actually does the Scandinavian flick and kicks the clutch through the corner. watch his left knee. Don't think he use's engine braking. He just down shifts to keep the engine at optimal revs + clutch kicking to sustain his drift! PURE CLASS!

Just checked wiki and only Ueo's AE86 ever won the D1GP in Japan. His AE86 and he are legends! All cars that became champions afterwards were staples of big turbo cars. No one has yet taken the AE86

@andylaurel when ur running a Formula Atlantic race motor (revs to 11k rpm) u can go in first when u want to lol.

@turbomoonie I believe he was running a Tomei assembled motor during his time in D1GP. The Formula Atlantic race motors are American built, right? Hassalgrad or something along those lines. That's not to say the Tomei motor wouldn't do 11k rpm... Deep pockets buy big revs.

@0rbin its called rev braking, the wheels slow down faster than the car so it helps continue the slide, show me one driver in D1 or Formula d that can drive like that with NO HANDBRAKE, True skills there my boy!
