"I felt when we stared down, I felt his right hand was twitching, which was a subtle tell for me. He is ready to unload that right hand and I feel that will be a downfall for him. if he lets that right hand go, I will not be there. I simply enter the way I enter, and that is enough, they either overextend or they shrink away, but either way it is not good for them. I will create traps and dead-space inside that octagon and i will walk him into that dead space, but all of a sudden he will be in danger. We will collide in the middle of the octagon and José will fall on the first exchange" - Conor McGregor

He has always been reasonable and polite with all the interviewers. What you gentlemen have you understand is that this is business and he is making money, promoting himself, taunting his opponents all day long. He is not only a remarkable fighter but also very smart and an extraordinary entertainer.
@jesse8924
@jesse8924 8 жыл бұрын
Johnny D I understand all the promoting and taunting, and yes I know he's smart. It doesn't make "as usual very polite" a correct statement. Maybe specifically to interviewers he is, but not to other fighters.
@petriukas20
@petriukas20 8 жыл бұрын
Henry T-Bags I agree with that, perhaps the statement is incorrect regarding him being polite all the time. In correction I would like to add precision to my comment: Polite with his interviewers. I take his taunting/impoliteness to other fighter as part of entertainment that he intentionally undertakes. Check his latest post about Jose Aldo on his FB page, he has spoken great words about him and has shown respect to the long unbeaten champion, thus proving that once the show is over he can reveal truthful feelings towards his opponent to the media. What do you think about that?

It doesn't mean anything, it's meaningless slang that McGregor picked up from some 90s US films, it's something a 12 year old who doesn't understand the slang of the day would say. +james D Not a hater, but one who recognises that the most gifted part of Conor's anatomy is his mouth. He was able to convince you and Aldo as well that he isn't just a backwater loser from Ireland, but that he's something more than. His training and abilities are inexistent - all that he's good for is standing there like a rock-em-sock-em robot. If you put a guy who isn't afraid of him in there, he'll get KO'd very, very quickly.

Look at the cut on his eye, that's one punch from a padded glove. The fights outcome would've been a lot more interesting if the punch he landed was aimed a little lower. A double knockout would've been talked about for a while the way the hype of this fight was going. I really think this fight demands a rematch, it's only necessary. I want to see what Conor can do to him in a full round and seeing that punch Aldo landed I wanna see what he can do against Conor in a full round. Aldo faded his right and left himself open, I've never seen him do that, Conor took advantage and got the left hook in perfectly. All in all, can't wait to hear the news about they're next fight.

i like it. Conor seems more relaxed now he has less to prove. i actually think he is a very loyal sweet, humble person who loves his family. you hear about him reaching out to people during times of hardship. that to me is a sign of a classy person. i think we are getting to see more of the "real" Conor now. and i like what i see.

To everyone saying it's fixed, that's too risky for the UFC to do so, and they will eventually be exposed if they were fixing fights. Dana knows it's too risky and so does Lorenzo. The word would have eventually got around . Dumb excuse to all the doubters. Other than that, WELCOME TO THE MCGREGOR ERA!!!!!

man it makes things interesting with his next move, lets say he moves up face off for 155 title wins, joe duffy (last man to beat conor also in the division) win his next 2 or so gets a title shot opens up a money fight in a stadium in Ireland, or he moves up loses the title fight in 145 aldo vs frankie for the vacant/ interim title lets say aldo wins the rematch will be a money fight also

not taking anything away from Conor he fought the perfect fight but if BJ Penn, Frankie Edgar, Anderson Silva, and Ronda Rousey all deserved rematches then so does Aldo... Especially considering he was inactive for over a year who knows how much that could have effected him. Look at how he walked to the Octagon, he wasnt singing or dancing around like he usually does, the nerves were real.

Gotta love Conor. He has a great mind and has no problem expressing himself. I noticed that the interviews he gives to other countries are just like this one, he is humble and reserved. When he does the hype videos or interviews on mainstream he tends to be more of an ass, just like Chef Gordon. His British shows he was super nice and then the American shows he was a total jerk. it is weird what sells here in U.S.
