I don’t think there’s gonna be another fighter to make that many achievements in their career again

Yeah there's a level of anger he had to instill in himself for the build up of the Floyd fight which carried over into the khabib fight and all the pressures associated with it.... seemed as if he tried letting that go during the interim period between the cowboy and Porier 2 fight.... however after that loss from an outsiders perspective it appeared he was hearing the outside noise about his hunger and probably felt it a bit, did some self assessment and came to the conclusion that his fire came from the anger so he reached back for it.... But that wasn't it....you stated it perfectly that during his rise he had a natural confidence that allowed him to be calm in those fights...he was having fun because he truly was confident and just wanted to show it....these past couple years it seems like he has internally had moments of self doubt and that anger/aggression is his way of almost convincing himself he's that same young guy. I think if he let the expectations go he'd be able to have fun and enjoy himself again. Stop trying to prove anything to anyone and do it for yourself.

The pressure on Aldo here was emense, Dana helped Mcgregor defeat Aldo, it was an inside job. It's the absolute pinnacle of Mcgregor's career, the only legimitimate victory after this fight was the war against Diaz 2. All other fights were either fixed or he was humiliated.
