Gegard continues to refer to Machida as being greased up. The majority of the fight was stand up, and Machida nailed him with great shots and kicks. The give and take between the two was very technical and it was an interesting chess match between two cerebral fighters. There were a couple of times when it went to the ground, Machida was on top and Gegard delivered an illegal up-kick. At the very end of the fight Gegard slipped off his back with a few seconds left and Machida delivered a flying punch to Mousasi on the ground. I don't see how Gegards contention of cheating is relevant, to my recollection there wasn't sufficient ground game to make a difference. I hear sour grapes with regard to Machida, as well as Uriah Hall. Uriah is also an underrated fighter, and he knocked Gegard TFO..

He needs to fight Romero, Rockhold, Weidman, Jacare... Not Anderson Silva. Note how he called out Hall for a rematch but not Souza who he also have a loss for. He is handpicking his opponents, he wanted Belfort because it will look good in his record. I hope Joe Silva gives him at least a Robert Wittaker, or a winner of the top 4 that won't be fighting for the title. If he considers himself top 5 then he must fight the top 4, not old men on their way out.

Well if you see what he says, he is ranked #9 (which is stupid) anyway there are 8 people ahead of him. 6 of them have fights booked: Wiedman Romero Rockhold Jacare whittaker brunson. he just fought Vitor and the only guy ahead of him who does not have a fight is Anderson Silva. Hence he asked for Silva. You dont really call out a guy who is booked to fight someon else already for your next fight. and he said since Anderson might have more interest in taking some prize fights against GSP or something, he wont be fighting him most probably. Hence he asked for #10 Hall to get a rematch to avenge a loss should be booked to fight soon, if not, he said he is happy to fight likes of Wiedman and Rockhold should UFC decide to take their time with him, so I have no idea why you said he is "handpicking".
