I don't know why he keeps trying to paint Conor as a small guy. Lightweight is his natural weight division. He was bigger than Eddie. Same height, but bigger frame, with a 5 inch reach advantage. I have been a huge Conor fan for a while now. I have watched UFC for a long time, and Conor's striking is some of the best I have ever seen as far as his persistent. And he has has dealt with wrestlers like Mendez and now Alvarez. His defense is very good. But I really don't think they want to make that khabib fight. Not a real big khabib fan but he is not just your average wrestler this guy will take you down there is no defense to him he is gonna get you down. Just got to give the guy respect. How about the greatest of all time Anderson Silva went untouched for years cleared out 3 generations of middleweights has defended his belt more than anyone & has gone up to light heavyweight when asked & made them look like practice. Fedor went undefeated for years making the heavyweight division look irrelevant. Dan Henderson held both the Pride middleweight & lightheavyweight titles simultaneously at a time when Pride to many real fans & analysts had better fighters than the UFC. GSP also defened his belt countless times & cleared generations of fighters. Jon Joes as well.Aldo before getting k.o'd went undefeated 10 years & defended his belt relentlessly. McGregor is good he is very good, but comparing the details & things accomplished already in this sport he is not great. Yes he holds two belts, & his charisma gave him the opportunity. When was Silva offered Lideell or Evans or Jones ? sure they spoke of it but the UFC wasn't crazy about it. Why didn't GSP & Silva happen ? Conor is a good fighter but a great draw. He got brutalized twice by a fighter who loses half his fights & gets high. Let time tell first. He may be a king to the casual fans, but there have been gods before him to the true fans for years.
