I’m one of those people who mutes the announcers and listens to you. Have for a couple years now. There’s excitement, comedy, honesty…passion? Does that sound gay? The UFC commentary is lacking all of that (except the gay). IMO, Anik always sounds like doesn’t even want to be there. It’d be great to have Goldie at 300, but then what do I do, watch you on mute?? 🤔

when i started watching ufc i thought Goldberg's commentary seemed a bit over the top, but i liked that, it suits the ufc to be over the top, just like Bruce Buffer lol. i liked that old school MMA vibe of it being mad and chaotic, including the commentary and stuff.

There were many times a fight would be dragging, so I would excuse myself to take a leak. In the middle of my leak I would hear “AND IT IS ALL OVER, JUST LIKE THAT”. Aah that would make me frustrated that I missed the ko or sub.

I think the UFC found out Goldberg was in talks with WWE to be a commentator after his contract ended with the UFC but for whatever reason Goldberg backed out but the UFC didn't renew his contract! that was the rumor going around!

I never really liked Goldberg on commentary, dude was kind of a clown who didn’t know the sport or athletes enough. That being said I find myself missing the guy too. The new broadcast team is terrible and I usually just watch to MMA Guru which is fantastic. Don’t bring Goldie back he’s better in your guys memories than he ever was at the desk. Dude deserved better tho when they canned him!

Goldberg needs to return, his voice was perfect for announcing fights, Anik sounds like he is a radio host from the 1950s, Goldberg built hype with simple quotes and the mistakes and banter with Rogan is what made it more special. The UFC should not have listened to all the haters.

Nah, I wish there was zero commentation. I've never ever enjoyed having people say stuff over the fight. I want to hear the fight and what the fighters are saying. All this other stuff made sense for radio, but not when you can watch what is happening. Nothing wrong with having the option to hear people talking if you want, but I wish there was an option to just hear the fight.
