UFC 305 certainly delivered, even after watching Eternal mma the night before (which turned out amazing). I love watching the regionals and witnessing the fighters break into the UFC. Nah Izzy didn't get complacent, DDP's shots were hurting him just like his body shots that hurt DDP and dropped him at one moment but Izzy doesn't have the grappling to get the finish like DDP. Izzy was hurt and gassing majorly cuz of the grappling but also due to him coming heavy in this fight and actively trying to be the aggressor which is not his forte(But it was very evident he was working on it a lot this camp which is great moving forward). This came down to DDP's durability being better and him being a well rounded MMA fighter which allowed him to regain his composure and recover from being hurt by falling back on his grappling like Charles Olivera. DDP 's Heart, Physicality and Well rounded skillset won him this fight a well deserved victory for his work and determination.

Yeah true, the damage from DDP took away Izzy's perception and discipline. He stopped moving his feet and anticipating the long combo attack of DDP. Very true, DDP is much like Oliveria, but he seems to be better conditioned, and trickier on the feet. He is a beast of a man, and perhaps we may even see him at P4P no.1 someday.

I feel as if Izzy has been slowly but surely declines after the second rob fight. Lost to Jan, Shit performance against Jared, did well against Alex but still lost, was losing to Alex til he got the ko, in the second fight (personally think that is weight cut related.) lost to Sean and then lost to dricus.

I think so, he stopped fighting with the same offense, and seemed to get more effected by taking the shots. Oh yeah im also a big believer that weight cuts take their toll, look what happened to ercegs chin after a quick turn around

I think you are right, Khamzat would be favored to beat Izzy at this stage. Honestly I think Izzy doesn't have the same need/desire to fight, so I think retiring will suit him. Perhaps if Strickland lost to DDP badly, that may be an interesting rematch. I think Izzy beats most middle weights though.
