I had a multi on Ortega, Valentina and Merab because they were all underdogs 🤷🏻♂️ when Ortega got dropped in the first 30secs i was like 🫠 Did u see Suga post that video after rewatching the fight and claiming he got robbed 🙄 i gave it 4-1 to Merab. I thought it was an odd choice for Valentina to wrestle the whole fight. Rogan at one point said Valentina is known to take u down and i was like... What? She's known for outstriking everybody! I thought she could have picked Grasso apart on the feet but she kept taking her down and getting caught up in submissions. Exactly what cost her in their previous fights. It was a great event overall 🤘

OH Damn you were so close on that Multi... Haven't seen the vid, but by the sounds of It Suga wants to 'get back into character' . LOL I wish I got to watch it live, as I'm only watching back on the clips from the sphere, it all makes a lot more sense now.. ah well!

idk why literally no one talks about shevchenko as one of the GOATs. At least top 10. Yes she's fighting weak competition but is that her fault? She is lightyears ahead of the best competition in her division, simple as. If it's so easy any woman should be able to jump into MMA and be a world champ

LOL Yes, if it were that easy, I would be fighting in MMA! the Truth is, it is tough to get better when ur so far ahead of everyone else, the fact that Valentina has done what she has, over a few eras of Womens MMA is remarkable.

Merab is a character, isn't he? What a weird fella. And also, Herb Dean was just so annoying, telling and pressuring Merab to work, when he was clearly working... Terrible. On to the fights, impressed with Merab. Valentina took an approach that could not be very appealing to some fans, but she was amazing. If she lost, she would not get a 4th fight with Alexa and she is 36. Beautifully done and very dominant. Diego Lopes was outstanding. Really making a case to be a scary contender. Shout outs to Dumont, Ribovics-Zellhuber, Bahamondes and Souza... awesome performances on the preliminary card. Watching at home, it really stand out to me the stories and sceneries between fights... Ironic that the Dumont-Aldana fight, I think the story was about the Aztec rituals and sacrifices, and then it was the bloodiest fight of the card. Aldana's face was a bloody mess and her forehead gash was NASTY. Awesome seeing your reactions, and the fun you had watching the event. I had fun also. Have a great week, Angie 🌹

Merab came from nothing. I think Merab prizes his legacy and his life in a fuller picture, beyond just the belt. In every interview he says that he fights for legacy and pride, for himself and for his country. I believe you are correct that fighters need to be selfish toward their career. But I think someone like Merab sees his career much differently than many, many others.

Yeah, perhaps that means he can fight with less pressure. I like his mentality and would feel good for him if he is able to get the win. Who knows, I am feeling more up in the air about this fight.

Thats interesting! I thought O"Malley was a bit off in the presser...maybe cause he was wearing the jacket, but he is a tricky guy to read. Thought Merab did well, but I guess neither guy is affected by the other

UFC 306... Trying not to set my expectations too high for this one, because we never know... but at least in terms of Alexa and Valentina, I think this will be it and whoever wins will fight another contender. And I totally agree that, aside from the 3 main fights, the event as a whole is kinda lackluster for all the hype it is getting (let's face it that mostly is Dana selling the Sphere production) but hopefully I'll be positevely surprised.

Zellhuber vs Ribovics is my sleeper fight i think that is going to be a banger and i think Ribovics wins i really like him here, also hopefully we see an O'Malley Ko but from all the videos I've been watching of Merab's camp they keep talking about Merab having to fight slow because O'Malley counters a lot so i could see this being a slow fight for Merab which would be a terrible game play if he does come out slow, he need to fight like how Belal fought Leon, I think Lopes either sleeps Ortega or he gets controlled on the ground for 3 rounds by Ortega, Lopes loves to play guard

Yeah the options for Merab seem tricky, he can't make many mistakes. I don't think his striking is as effective as Belals either, so that game plan may not sure so well for him. But who knows. I would be surprised to see Orgeta finished within 3 rounds, but Lopes is powerful.

You are wrong on the main fight tho. Gilberth is going to win ITD. He almost beat your boy Jack Della a couple months ago. He went 5 rounds with Belal with one arm (injury since the first round) before that. He gave Chimaev the fight of his life before that. Brady could not do neither of those three. This fight is being framed as Burns is washed and on the way out. He haven't shown any sign of that. All the contrary. He NEEDS a finish to have one last run he knows that, and I think he'll get it. He will out "smart" Brady, maybe with a sneaky SUB @+9000 that no one is expecting...
