the problem is that, new generation kids think criticizing a game is crying.. When you say bad things or wrong doings of a new game, a criticism for the sake of making a better game, they say things like "owww who hurt you bruh, owww why you crying bruvv, owww you cant get laid bruvv". They will play anything you give them without questioning if its worth, just for the LOLz and they after a few days they will get bored, drop the game and go on whatevers on the trend. Thats why we dont get good games anymore. no effort, no love for the fans, just a easy made product for consumer generation, kids with short attention spans. EA targets casuals and newbie kids, not the old community or old school fans. UFC 4 already proved that with bunch of rainbow colored masks and items

Agreed, the new generation are far more susceptible to indoctrination. Their teachers / hero's are influencers, in the case of UFC you have Martial Mind, Ricky J, and Pryoxis who all despise UFC 4 much like your average person who hates their 9 to 5, but it pays the bills. Shockingly bad? No. Not even close. All that needs to be done is increase the striking speed slightly and to find a way to make the characters feel more grounded. Perhaps import the footwork from UFC 2. The authentic damage system looks amazing. I'm looking forward to this.

@@ClaimerUncut I'm not an avid player, no. But I do own UFC 1, 3, 4 and still play Undisputed 3 and Fight Night Champion. Undisputed 3 is one of the best mixed martial arts games ever made. I do agree that your opinion on the characters feeling floaty is correct. I also agree that there isn't enough movement and weight in the hips. Perhaps that's another reason why the characters feel like they're floating. I'm intrigued by the advanced damage system, it's the one feature that's felt mediocre to me in previous installments and UFC 5 seems to have remedied that.

I blame this partly on fromsoftware games, I don't know what's wrong with people these days, if they are too slow or whatever but games that have clunky cheap combat getting praised is what gaves us this bs of a combat in UFC game series, as you posted, in UFC2 everything looked better and the gameplay was much faster, which is the real fun. Now every other game devs studio is putting clunky gameplay in their games to fake difficulty and hide cheap tricks. This type of combat doesn't belong in a martial arts game

Unsurprisingly EA, even after having 3 fucking years to work on dev, have managed to regress with this game. UFC4 was so lacklustre with broken mechanics and it comes at no surprise especially since the integration of this egregious frostbite engine. They’ve focused on things that are visual related than game systems. It looks so sluggish and uninspiring in every facet: standup, not even anything with the clinch system and ground work looks better but without being to level change fluidly what’s the point? From playing fifa as a hardcore fan my whole life, I can act as testament to how horrific EA are at handling sports games. I think I’m going to stick to UFC3, this game looks horrendous. Anyways shout to you from London here. You’re not of these content creators that dick ride these game devs and speak the truth. Keep up the content!

Hey Shareef, appreciate more viewers from the UK ( I got caught in a US bubble with my American boxing coverage). I think the current cycle of games published by EA and Rockstar gaining free promotion from streamers, leads to these companies having no financial incentive to change what they deem a winning formula. If THQ tweaked their engine from 100 years ago, and released an MMA game using PFL, Bellator, and One FC fighters.. The monopoly would be broken.

Unfortunately yes I will still buy, I’ve always bought the UFC games, all the way back to 2009 Undisputed. Seeing the game change in graphics were great but the actual depth took a step back when EA took over. THQ Undisputed brand knew what they were doing. Took the game to new levels with each new realease. But this could have been an update to ufc 4. Not saying EA is trash cause you can see where they tried, they need to bring Gameface back and add in hammer fist in ground and pound positions like Top guard half guard and Top Mount.

It is common knowledge by now that 99% "trailers" are pre-baked or 3D animated. I didn't expect the gameplay to be much different from UFC 4... and uhhh. Yeah... HOWEVER, honestly NOTHING can be as boring and trash as Undisputed is right now. I will buy UFC , hopefully they fix it up, because the only reason I'm buying it is to escape from what Undisputed has become. I REALLY hope it's not a rock-em-sockem unbalanced mess like Undisputed. Stand up is to slow, compare any other fighting game mortal kombat, tekken, sf5 etc. All of the feel fluid, smooth but ufc feels with major delays and very slow, it's not realistic ether. i was fine with the ufc 4 gameplay/striking etc but my problem with this game and the series as a whole is the complete lack of game modes. Like if u look at the old wwe games there’s road to wrestle mania, showcase, gm mode, universe mode etc. In these games there’s a pathetic excuse of a career mode where u fight the same guy 100x and online , that’s it. I am trying to find good reasons to get this game, but I cant find any. maybe I would only play for Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali and Fedor. but the game is already same of UFC 4, and I already have Tyson, Ali and Fedor in my CAFs so nothing new, not buying it. same animations same mechanics. they only added doctor stoppages and ground elbows. UFC 5 is just a graphically improved UFC 4 update nothing more

It's a strange cycle because I'm happy for the likes of Martial Mind as an exanple, however he and those in his field I'm sure keep the EA sales numbers high.

its just same of UFC 4, only added a few things. they just added ground elbows which were already in UFC 3 and before, and doctor stoppages which was already a thing in UFC Undisputed 3. Stipe, Conor all old models... animations, mechanics etc are the same copy paste from UFC 3 and 4, even if they claim this is a new engine, gameplay looks same of UFC 4. nothing impressive at all, I would say disappointment but i know its EA so I was already expecting it so not disappointed at all. UFC 5 is same copy paste just like UFC 4, dont even buy it

I cant get over the hate for the ea ufc games it really makes no sense they improve a bunch with each iteration and look and play awesome. The gameplay in this looks like watching an actual fight. Why would anyone want it to look like the cgi trailer that was over stylized to look cinematic. I want it to look like the real thing which it does. What gets me the most are the people that praise ufc undisputed 3 and say it was better than these games. I think the only reason people love that game is because it was easy as hell. Literally no challenge unlike the ea games where you have to time out your striking and change levels like a real fight. In my opinion the people who hate on these games must just not be good at them.
