I have to agree with Tim. Part of the battle is starting small and building yourself up. I went from being chunky, eating crap all the time to learning to work out, losing the weight, and then working on my eating habits. The gym was tough to begin with but I've been at it getting on 7 years. I eat better. And I took up judo. I want to encourage and help people who were the way I was.

I like this concept for takers podcasts where he has the guest and people he wants to talk to about there life's if that other wrestlers/ex-fighters etc. I know certain fans just want a Bischoff/Pritchard style podcast where he just dives into talking about his career every week but clearly that's something he's not that interested in all the time so this is a good way to do the show

Right now I've been having a hard time making changes in my life. I'm working extra hours at work to save up money to move my family out of NYC to the Midwest to provide a better life for them. It's scary because if I fail in this it'll affect them but I'm trying to power through it. Also, as a type-2 diabetic I'm trying to lose weight and get in shape. I've already changed my diet and I reached out to Stevie Richards who has been helping me with a 12 week workout program. Yeah, my body is feeling the pain but I really want to get in shape to see my daughter grow up. Undertaker is my all-time favorite wrestler. I started watching wrestling in 1989 and I never miss an episode of this podcast. Matt is a former military person who has structure in his life, but people have weaknesses. And its not necessarily a bad thing. He knows how to counter act his food cravings by doing extra exercise, which is great for him. There are people who have more than one weakness and just because the mind frame Tim has works for him, doesnt mean itll work for everyone else. This guy is so full of himself, and full of shit. Talked about how money wasnt a focus for him.... well thats great, he still has a shit ton of it. He was also in the military which essentially guarantees him employment and medical care for the rest of his life. Not everybody has that.

Tim is still way off on his timeline from the Romero fight. We know he doesn't read comments but someone that knows him personally needs to tell him he is been concussed enough to get this timeline corrected.
@Matt-cr4vv7 ай бұрын
Idk if I’d blame it as concussions because that’s a fairly major claim to have if you don’t know for sure. But he does portray what happened in the fight quite a bit different than how it all went, which I’ve always associated with a convenient way to explain the situation to strengthen the claim he had the fight taken from him. It stands out quite a bit from the way he presents everything else he says since he twists everything around in terms of the what things happened, the context surrounding things that impacted how the controversy happened, doesn’t speak of why Big John took the approach he did, and doesn’t fully lay out the rules he uses to argue which also show why things went as they did. Just strange to stand on that hill when full ownership is such a major thing in this discussion. I don’t blame him for having issues it’s the way things went because it was unfair for him but it would’ve been much more unfair if the results he argues should’ve happened actually had. And it’ll always come across cheap when a person goes after someone for cheating when their cheating is what allowed them to come so close to finishing the fight. Romero did get saved by the bell at first, which happens all the time when the round is so close to being done. But we all known doctor was quickly brought in to evaluate Yoels condition and cleared him to keep going. That was handled just as it should be and sometimes you get boned by the timing of the round when had that sequence gone down with time in the round to continue striking a KO probably does happen. But the way John let things continue happens a lot and the complaints of cheating are cheap when you commit a foul in holding one of the dudes gloves to land all the strikes. And then taking so much issue with the fiasco that followed, primarily resulting from the damage your cheating resulted in, which bit him in the end. Or failing to acknowledge how the UFC employee mishandling the cut your choice allowed, and a referee insisting the problem be fixed to try to avoid you being disadvantaged and had a fair final round, while. He tried to quickly handle all at once was a strong effort that fell short. And it seems like there wasn’t a problem that Yoel got that bit of valuable recovery, as it never seems to be argued that it was an unfair third round as the major issue, rather that John didn’t decide that the extension of time on the stool that stemmed from an issue from a UFC cut man and that Yoel deserved to have the fight taken from him because of the action of someone that wasn’t on his team. Just so odd with just how far off it is from all the other things here.

I was listening to the podcast where your co-host mentioned about driving to WV, just to do it. West Virginia people are some of the nicest people in the country. Hard working, blue collar and very passionate. One of my favorite Undertaker moments was when he and Paul Bearer attempted to embalm Stone Cold alive. The image of Paul Bearer positioning stone cold hands on the table was priceless. I'm sure you get these kind of messages all time from actual Funeral directors but I would like to invite you to West Virginia. I currently work in a funeral home in Grafton West Virginia. Grafton is known for one of the longest running memorial Day parades in the country and was the birthplace of Mother's Day. How often would it be to do a remote podcast from an actual Funeral Home. As a life long fan, I always felt that part of Undertakers success was his ability to bolster his own image. Whether it be the way he poses in pictures, or even the way he presented his kneel in the most iconic, memorable way. I was always curious as to how Mark came up with this imagery in his head; if he has inspiration, or if it was off the cuff. ie: the double hand pose, where it looks like he’s holding a small globe. Would he be able to explain this on the pod? Or maybe even fans could reply.

I was 6'2", 220lbd freshman year of high school with crappy lower income clothing, but was still getting a bit bullies on the bus. My response was just to go into deadman mode. I just glared and remained silent to their bullshit, and sure as shit it worked, lol. Size and silence speaks volumes! 20+ years later, I'm at a hotel tripping on acid with my ex and a buddy... ... ... yeah. My EX invited some friends over that he went to prison with. One of which just had to prove that he was the biggest badass ever. IE: the smallest dick. All this talking is going on, and I'm just laying on the far bed in silence, eyes closed, basically meditating this conversation away so my trip doesn't turn south. Then I hear the voice of the biggest dude, of the three, and he says "You know who I wouldn't ever fuck with? This guy over here! He hasn't said shit!" I opened my eyes and he was pointing at me. I just said up straight up "I'm just tryin' to chill..." He laughed his ass off, and then continued to convince the rest of them to just let me chill. So there's two instances where taking on the Taker persona may have saved my ass! lol. Also I got the Taker symbol tatted on my arm as a reminder as to how you should rise up from a beat down. Even 6'10" 300lb zombie wizards can be laid down at times. The important thing, is that you get back up. Even more important is that they see it. Even more important than is that you do it in a way the FUCKING TERRIFIES them because they know both that THEY did it, and YOU know who they are, and will NOT stay down! This is my TED Talk, lol
