@eatdabutt

It's because he brings too much of his personality to the press conferences. The only fighters who are universally loved by all fans are the ones who are the most humble. They may not have the most fans.. but the fans they do have are loyal to the bone. And the haters are far and few. Whittaker is a prime example. Everybody knows he's not ALWAYS a nice humble dude.. but that's what he brings to the press. Izzy was obviously the better fighter, but what he brought to the press garnered alot of hate regardless. In other words, it doesn't matter how great of a fighter you are, if you show that you're unrelatable, people aren't going to like you.

I know people have been discrediting chito after this but going into this everyone held that loss over Sean's head and people still had a feeling chito could beat Sean, or Sean would be super boring. YET Sean went out there and put on a 5 round masterclass. Proving his cardio and levels to his skills and fight IQ. I've never seen Chito THAT hurt before and even tho Cory beat chito, it's crazy how Sean was able to damage chito that bad. He has very effective offensive aggression. Most people with feints and his abilities don't fight like Sean. Others need there opponent to come to them in order to maybe counter them but Sean's proven he is Effective fighting in pretty much every direction, either stance, crazy timing juking output which makes his feints work more because he actually attacks mixed with-in them. It's awesome to watch It's MMA so anything can happen but I truly see so much evolution in O'malley's skills. Every opponent has gone against Sean with the goal of taking him down. Look how he beat Thomas Almada. In a lot of his fights he's shown potential of what he's capable of and I really think he can cement himself in batamweight history. Ilia's acting all arrogant like he runs the UFC with no title defenses so Ilia should focus on defending his belt. The Merab & Cory fights would be epic for his 135 fight list.

O malley on the backfoot is very suspect. In the clinch o malley also is very slow to react. I know he caught aljo on the backfoot. You can’t stay in the distance and have a boxing match with Sean, he will destroy any opponent including Merab. He’s so pretty to watch from a technical standpoint, but I notice when a fighter tucks his chins and bangs, and makes the fight dirty Sean seems overwhelmed. Merab v o malley is an interesting matchup that must happen this year. Merab gets crack he’s very hittable, but Merab recovery and constant pressure is otherworldly
