I've been waiting for this topic for so long! I love MMA. Moved to Vegas when I was in 5th grade. (Going to be a senior in HS next week). And my moms been working for them ever since. I'd love to talk/watch UFC with Nick. We get free tickets when they come here to Vegas. Next time you're in Vegas and there are fights, you're coming nick!

Nick! The undercard is televised for every UFC card. They have an "early fight pass prelim", which is usually the first 1-3 fights, aired exclusively on fight pass, and then the "prelim" card is usually on FS1 (in the US, TSN in Canada), or fight pass if it's a non-PPV card.

If you would practice BJJ for just a month or so, UFC would quickly becomes much more fun to watch, and you'd understand so much more of what's going on in the cage. Also, Nick was wrong about how Jones landed the headkick in that fight. He did indeed throw a ton of leg kicks throughout the fight, but he didn't fake a leg kick into a head kick. He just threw the headkick. Small detail I know, but I'm like a grammer Nazi when it comes to sport fighting.

Whoa! I didn't know Nick was a ufc fan! Have him react to the ppvs! EDIT: Alistair Overeem is the fighter Nick couldn't remember that thought his opponent tapped to a guillotine choke. Bis opponent was Stipe Miocic. Also Tim's knowledge of ufc wasn't good at all, but in comparison to Nick he's like the newbie who could learn whassup. He just has to get used to more violence because it comes with the sport since it's actually fighting unlike WWE. Also don't get me wrong i love wwe. It's more than a little frustrating for Tim to admit that he doesn't know anything about actual fight sports but then share such strong criticisms of anyone's performance. The less than casual fan who's also the master critic? *sigh* Lastly, Jon was never popped for steroids - he took Cialis. Brock was busted for steroids.
@the1truth5177 жыл бұрын
Yes you do. If you take more than 5 seconds and look for the information, it's on the internet. Jon and USADA made it public. It's not right to make false claims on someone, especially when the facts are open and easily accessible. Unlike the NFL, the UFC either publicizes it themselves or allows USADA to publicize EXACTLY what a fighter is busted using. Actually, it's the same in boxing too. These things are always released to the public. If you watched the statement from the Vegas review board (or USADA's), they concurred that (A) it was Cialis, (B) he didn't do it intentionally and (C) he was still suspended because it's still all falls on him to check to make sure everything he's taking is allowed - regardless of who told you it was or wasn't.

@ryansampson56367 жыл бұрын
theworldispein nagato this is straight from Wikipedia "On July 18, 2016, the Nevada State Athletic Commission revealed Jones had tested positive for clomiphene, an anti-estrogenic substance, and letrozole, an aromatase inhibitor. These substances were found in the June 16 out-of-competition sample provided by Jones. Both drugs are on the World Anti-Doping Agency banned substances list and are described as 'hormone and metabolic modulators.'"

It sucks to hear Tim talk about the UFC and not understand anything about it. It's a sport not a show like the WWE. There's not supposed to be explosions and crazy lights. It's not the WWE. It's real.
@jeffullrich55567 жыл бұрын
People complain that Kinda Funny repeats topics too much or that the topics aren't insightful or whatever, and then they do a topic on UFC and Tim's experience with going to the event in person, a topic that they haven't done a lot on in the past, and everybody shits on them (except for Nick) for not being MMA experts. Tim can't win.
@jeffullrich55567 жыл бұрын

Tim talking ufc is like hearing someone talk about cars that has no clue about them it hurts. I hate the comparison to pro wrestling because UFC is a sport they're not trying to be flashy and come out with entrances and the fighters pick their own music. I like Tim's work lately but don't talk UFC again please Nick love to see you talk more ufc.
@InFiiLtRaTor7 жыл бұрын
Tim's not trying to pretend to know anything about UFC.... He states repeatedly he doesn't know anything. He's just talking about his experience watching an event live... Give him a break. Also it wouldn't hurt for the UFC to have some more showmanship/theatrics on top of the real, brutal fights.

Nick you talk about the UFC like you review movies, Daddy's home. Lol but seriously I don't think Nick can explain and walk Tim through the UFC well at all. First of all if you watch UFC for the first time it is boring. Unless someone is hand holding you through the fight explaining what is happening as it goes on. Secondly the card was stacked, big names, 3 title fights great card. Thirdly, lay off Tim, the WWE is the only thing he can compare it to and in terms of a production and spectating it blows UFC out of the water I think the attendance speaks for what you could be in for (sidenote: haven't watched wwe since 2011). Now for the card. Manuwa underestimated oezdimar he got blown back. Lawler and cerone was a great fight only 3 rounds not 5, cerone should've won but it went down to the last round (lawler won first cerone second since lawler had to recuperate) and lawler doesn't control the judges. Cyborg vs evinger. The belt they were fighting for was surrendered by the former champ because she didn't want to fight cyborg. Cyborg is one of the best p4p women mma fighter ever. The belt though was at cyborg weight class. When fighting out of your weight class its unnatural and most people only do it for the pay check not for the pride and also end up losing, going back to their division, winning then saying "always fight in your division blah blah blah...". Evinger was also champion at a different brand (this was her ufc debut) so she no push over and is an excellent grappler who has trained with world class wrestler like ken shamrock and dan henderson. Although Cyborgs and world class multi winning BJJ champ she has 16/20 wins by KO. 16!!! And Tonya has almost half (i think) of her wins by sub. So she had a chance even though by the third round it didn't look like much. She got tagged a bunch tho so props to her, she was the only one who WANTED to fight her and probably got a decent paycheck coz of cyborgs name. Woodley v Maia. I though Tim for sure would shout out Maia for coming in with Numb but whateves. Boring fight but Dana white said winner vs gsp so woodley just had to win but then dana just turned heel. It was a boring fight but Maia is one of the best BJJ fighter to have ever fight in MMA history. Why would you risk your belt to get a quick finish. Why would woodley play maia game? Maybe getting on in the fight woodley could've knocked him out but when chael sonnen got to close to Anderson silva after dominating the fight in his first fight guess what happened less than 2 mins to go, armbar. I think woodley could've finished it but would you risk it when you could fight gsp at MSG, I wouldn't. Tho imo gsp vs woodley or bisping is boring to me neither is world class certainly not on the caliber of gsp. Jones v Cormier. I think Jones was nervous. Has a way bigger reach adv which he used immaculately in the first fight and kinda didn't in this. But corm didn't punish was quick enough to tag him, got into a bad habit and jones caught. I think corm got in front of himself. Great humility by Jones, wasn't a huge fan, now I am. Looking forward to gustafsson fight. Fin
