On Episode 2 of UFC 229 Embedded, lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov takes in BJJ and BBQ with the Vegas branch of his MMA family. Two-division champion Conor McGregor tapers his training at the UFC Performance Institute. Lightweight Tony Ferguson stays sharp with elements of basketball and rola bola, while opponent Anthony Pettis keeps comfortable in combat at his longtime Milwaukee gym. And strawweight star Michelle Waterson kicks off her fight week with a song. UFC 229 Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog leading up to UFC 229: Khabib vs. McGregor taking place Saturday, October 6th on Pay-Per-View.

From what I've seen, he's very dedicated to rehab. As a physio though, i'l tell you that rehab for a torn MCL > LCL > ACL, as far as how "easy"/quick it is. A completely torn LCL isn't easy, but poses less challenges and time than a full ACL tears. Still impressive though.

Personally I think Khabib is going to control the fight & hurt McGregor like he has never been before in the octagon. Let's go Khabib ☝ Bring home the win & humble this ...🐤

I love Tony, and hope to god he fights khabib someday. In all honestly I’d be more hyped for Tony v khabib just because I’ve been blue balled by them so many times. Still super excited for this Saturday. Really hope Tony stays healthy. Crazy that he blew out his leg and had major surgery less than 6 months ago. Feels like he’s rushing back. Hope he’s the same fighter.

@@applejuice5635 We dont really know how well Tony's knee has healed. It could still bother him a lot, its an awful fast recovery for a ACL tear, so its fishy. 6 months is a very short recovery time for that kind of injury, 9 months is more reasonable. He's risking a lot coming back so soon. 110% if Tony didnt have that knee problem, he'd roll through Pettis easily.

Those are basic moves that anyone with some practice can land during sparring. It's an entirely different scenario landing them in a real fight. Literally would take you a few days if you wanted to learn. It's easy to throw random combinations and make it look cool if you know your sparring partner will just stand there and take it.
