Exactly. That's like bringing a muay thai fighter from abroad for his first official ufc fight but having 100+ fights at Lumpinee. By no means were they inexperienced. Izzy even said he's used to fighting a lot more in a calendar year so ufc actually makes it easier with scheduling.

I don't even care about Izzy losing to Jan because just as he said "Dare to be great". He is still the KING of the middleweight division and this loss will only be a lesson so that he can be an even better fighter in the future. Keep in mind that he didn't even get an ass-whooping or a one-sided beatdown whatsoever. It was just a good fight and a good show from both guys who are still GREAT Champions in everyone's eyes. Can't wait to see what Izzy has learned from this transcendent experience.

I think the punishment Gastelum took was unnecessary, because it had long term effect and he hasn't been the same since that last round beat down.
