I miss this era, especially when these guys were still in their primes. Both were beasts back in the day. That one knee literally opened up four or five cuts on Bispings face. That’s over a decade of scar tissue accumulated from a career of wars. I have never witnessed a boring Bisping fight whether he won or lost. He was one of those guys you might have started out hating, but after a few years, you just want to see him finally become a champion after getting so close so many times. Thankfully, he pulled it off by defeating 3 future HOFers in a row with one eye, and giving GSP a really good fight as well despite losing. I noticed in the GSP fight, Bisping was winning, but he couldn’t see that quick left hook GSP put on him with his damaged right eye. Once you get dropped by GSP, it’s usually over, even if you are good at getting back to your feet from the guard.

Bisping is the definition of a fighter. No crazy cardio genetics, not gifted a chin of steel, just a warrior's heart. This and beating Luke for the belt were fights he would never win on paper. But when you get in the cage with a real fighter anything can happen
@austinarmstrong9729 Жыл бұрын
What?!? Bisping was known for his cardio , that’s why they assume the late rounds are his
@cameronbachman8161 Жыл бұрын

@@cameronbachman8161what do you mean by no crazy cardio genetics anyway?
@cameronbachman8161 Жыл бұрын
@mysoggypants101 well my boy. Everyone has different genetics. Some people have great cardio without doing any cardio, and some people run out of breath after walking 2 levels of stairs. Bisping is somewhere in between but definitely not a genetic freak of nature
@mysoggypants101 Жыл бұрын
@@cameronbachman8161 well you see guy, Bisping had the lowest resting heart rate in the UFC. And had great control over reducing that heart rate in-between rounds. So for you to go on about cardio genetics and not know or mention that, is quite fascinating. But no one doubts the work horse that is Michael "the count" Bisping. Also thought maybe you specialized in genealogy with your expert like statement.

"All three judges, Ben Cartlidge, Jeff Mullen, and Andy Roberts, scored it the same: 48-47 Bisping, with The Count taking rounds one, two, and four. "What did the numbers say? "The striking stats reflect the judges scoring accurately. Bisping had a considerable advantage in significant strikes in rounds one (17-8), two (24-11), and four (28-19), while Silva had the knockdown in the third and battled Bisping to a near standstill in the fourth (19-18 Silva). In the second round, Bisping was credited with a knockdown. "Bisping just threw a lot more than Silva. He landed 108 of 316 significant strikes compared to Silva’s 75 of 135. Bisping had the advantage in head (58-47) and leg (38-13) strikes. Silva held a narrow advantage in body strikes (15-12)."
