Fitness Kickboxer Takes On Actual Boxer (In Boxing Match)

A fitness (cardio) kickboxer named Flash Daddy decided to try to go six rounds with an actual boxer (Max Pan). Let's see the gap between fitness kickboxing/boxing and actual boxing. The kickboxer guy didn't embarrass himself, at least. He has clearly sparred at least a bit. He's not on Max Pan's level, but he's probably fine against most regular dudes.

He's sparred a good amount for sure. You don't get timing and footwork that fluid from punching a bag without supplementing with sparring. He looked clean, he would have beat a non-pro.

The fitness boxer actually did a pretty good job and seems legit. Punch combinations were crisp. He's got most of the tools there, but it's just applying everything at full speed in a pressure situation where he comes up short. You definitely see him thinking about things and reacting late.

I have a feeling flash learned a very valuable lesson. That is how body shots take away power and stamina when youre forced to eat so many shots. That’s something fitness boxing will never teach you. Only sparring/fighting teaches this lesson. Good job to both fighters. I believe they both learned some valuable info here.

It looks like BoxPan was baiting with the telegraphed body shot and hoping to catch Flash Daddy with an overhand. If Flash took the bait, I think it would have been a KO. Respect to Flash Daddy for hanging in there.

4:30 correction: Max Holloway is the one who doesn't spar. Sean Strickland is the opposite, his only fight preperation his hard sparring.

I admire the kickboxer courage to face a pro boxer in the ring just doing boxing, but also a big mistake because no kick to the leg, midsection, body shot kicks (like front kick and sidekick) and no head kicks. There you know the boxer can win the fight. If the kickboxer spar every now and then his head movement will actually work. But nonetheless good fight. And Jerry you actually a good singer and thank you for showing us the ring girls 💖

One interesting thing is how straight the fitness boxer's posture is. Which makes sense cos in fitness training u don't wanna pick up habits and muscular imbalances that are bad for you long term. Unfortunately, in a real fight, u just wanna survive, which includes making urself small - long term health can wait

Fitness boxer took the fight, so of course he spent time “training” for the fight until fight day. Thus, i believe that’s why he looked decent in the fight

It's not that big of a difference between them. Kickboxer spammed a lot of check hooks, and missed them all. Straight punches were okey, and if he could punch to the body after head, we would probably see different outcome. Boxer jabbed body a lot, with zero actual damage and almost absent build up upon this.. if he used jabs, to prepare like overhand or cross to the face, he could knocked opponent down, at least. Or he could stand and bang in close distance, looked like it would work out fine to.

I also wish that One champion is creating Lei Tai for traditional Chinese martial, hopefully people that use Kung Fu for combative start waking up like roaring tiger coming from the cave. One we will see Tiger vs Snake in the most interesting way, for me personally Choy li fut vs Wing Chun, since I heard that they are rival. Furthermore you are inspiring for me, to learn Kung Fu. Fitness kickboxer?! that could be the same as the 'fitness kung fu' of Bruce Lee. But anyways, any kickboxer will have problems against a boxer, even more if the KB dont use kicks to the legs.

As a kickboxer, I can attest to this. I hate sparring boxers in boxing, it's like trying to outswim a fish. BUT when you can kick, it's more like outrunning a fish.
