Suzuki DR650 - All Mods/Upgrades - Speedometer Cable Fix

Returning with a description of all the mods I currently have done on my Suzuki DR650.
I recently did a gas tank swap, new handle bars with risers, and new grips.
Bike is looking good, ready to ride!

As always, great video. Can't wait for your Baja trip! Hope you get your new skid plate before the trip. On my CRF I could not stand the noise from the skid plate, so I took some heater hose and cut it in half, then mounted the skid plate. Problem solved.

I deleted the PAIR valve on my 2024 DR650, runs better and no popping noise on deceleration. Also replaced the seat with a seat concepts seat.

I thought my valves were trashed when I got mine, the noise was so loud lol. Glad the PAIR is easy to delete.

We are waiting on the heat too. It’s Oct 1 and it’s 107f outside. Whats gonna happen is overnight it’s gonna drop to 45f and stay there. 😅

I went with the acerbis skid plate and it has held up well. It has a couple conduit clamps that holds the front to the frame. I thought it was too close to the motor and was a pain to take on and off. I made a flat bar and clamed it to the frame with those and welded nuts to the bar so i can use bolts in the front as well as the back. That spaced it out so it is easy to clean out and is very easy to put on and take off if needed.

Trying to close a deal on a 2024 with 2000 klm for 6 bills Canadian. will know this weekend, I found the 22 klr with all the mods, suspension and center stand a bit heavy now. Keep the great videos coming. Garth

Nice build, as for my DR650 I'm on my first set of Dsport tires about 1500 miles no cupping on the front tire yet, they work well. I've been running Motoz tractionator Rallz tires on my 2007 BMW R1200GS for 20K miles getting 12000 on the rear before replacement, the front gets 15000 and wear even.
