Regarding your question, those are not thermal pads; they are called thermal putty. I have a link to the best quality putty in the video description. You should not use pads there because the gap is not an even number. Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me. cheers🍻

Well done, thank you! One question: what do you think of replacing the LM and paste on the CPU and GPU with PTM7950 pads instead, and what mm thickness would be best? Thanks!

Regarding your question, in my 17 years of servicing i would highly recommend you to clean the GPU and CPU and place : amzn.to/3tlvyrL thermal grizzly kryonaut you will get the same resolt as LM but with 3-4c more but the risk of damaging and spill of the LM when the lptop bags in the bag we have see many laptop come in because the LM dripped onto the main board. Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me. cheers🍻 This is an Amazon affiliate link. Do you have before-after results? I also wonder if I can continue to use Liquid Metal on CPU and jut change the GPU thermal paste?
@uFixTek

Thank you for your feedback! If you wish to support the channel, you can like, subscribe, or both! Regarding your question, this video is not a comparison or benchmark, it is a simple laptop repaste service, the results are different for everyone depending the type of game and room temps, this the same as you do a car oil service. if you want the best result use this: thermal grizzly kryonaut: amzn.to/3H5gim4 and for the LM you can just use the same LM that is already there, just spread the LM over dye and it will be all good to go. Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me. cheers🍻 This is an Amazon affiliate link. I bought the thermal paste you mentioned today. When I removed the heatsink, I was very surprised. The liquid metal on top of my processor had shifted downwards (in line with the laptop stand's angle), and there was a noticeable burn mark on the processor. I spread the liquid metal. I cleaned the old paste on the GPU (its quality was really bad and had dried up in a year), applied the new paste, and reassembled the laptop. The GPU, which used to instantly reach 86 degrees and decrease its speed by 300MHz, now ran at a constant 1800MHz and 150 watts for hours.

does this kill the warranty
@uFixTek
@uFixTek Ай бұрын
🫠In response to your question, the impact of performing your own service on a product's warranty varies based on your location and the manufacturer's terms and conditions. In the United States, the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protects consumers by ensuring that using non-original equipment parts or services does not automatically void a warranty, unless the manufacturer can prove that the modification caused the defect. Therefore, you can perform your own service without losing your warranty, provided you don't cause damage or create a short circuit. Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me. cheers🍻

I have a 3 year old ROG G533QS with R9 5900 and 3080. My temps have gone up recently especially on my GPU (around 86c) and I’m thinking of repasting, however I’ve heard that Kryonaut is suited for desktop computers and is not meant for temps over 80c therefore it causes a pump out effect after a few weeks of use. I can’t have my laptop frequently serviced because of this. Can you guide me on what should I use on my GPU? Would Kryonaut Extreme be better? What about Hydronaut? Thank you.

🫠Regarding your question, i would highly recommend you to get this permantent solution and never worry about repasting only fan cleaning, use this thermal grizzly kryosheet: amzn.to/3XGDY9Z just get kaptopn taype and tape around the crystal dye and place the krosheet and that is equivalet of liquid metal. Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me. cheers🍻 This is an Amazon affiliate link. I have the G17 Scar 2021, I know the CPU also has Liquid metal. I've had my laptop for 3 years now and I am wondering about repasting the liquid metal. Do I have to clean the old LM before applying the new LM? My temps do go high and I've been just thinking about doing a repaste but obviously LM is a different substance that needs to be applied carefully.
@uFixTek
@uFixTek 6 ай бұрын
🫠Regarding your question, yes you have to open it and just add very small about over the GPU or CPU dye and that is all no need to remove the old LM because LM doesn't expire. we do this for our clients and they happy with results. Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me. cheers🍻

I haven't touched hardware in a very loooong time so question and srry but what if the liquid metal is dry?
@uFixTek
@uFixTek 6 ай бұрын
🫠Regarding your question, the LM doesn't dry, if you open and you see that the LM is pushed to the side the just push it pack on the crystal dye and all done, or add a tiny drop over without removing the old LM. cheers🍻

Why exactly you're doing this? Is this because the stock paste is not sufficient or incorrectly applied? Do we have to do this if we buy this computer? Also, I would like to say that the way you explain and show is pretty good.

Thank you for your feedback! If you wish to support the channel, you can like, subscribe, or both! Regarding your question, when ever i or any friends of mine purchase a high end laptop, we always like to replace the garbage thermal paste that it comes from factory with a premium thermal paste like: thermal grizzly kryonaut: amzn.to/49nJh1p and this way the temps drop and it will give you a longer lasting laptop and no thermal throttling. Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me. cheers🍻 This is an Amazon affiliate, when you use my links, I earn a percentage, which helps support the channel🙏.

🫠Regarding your question, you can use a thermal paste instead of the LM. NEVER use paste instead of the putty, when there is a putty because it will counter push the heatsink and you will get a horrible results. if your putty is dry get a good grade putty: amzn.to/4ck3B5j Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me. cheers🍻 This is an Amazon affiliate link.
